So many things to look at – pretty
Girls with short hair, long hair,
Brunettes and blondes
Short and tall – they have secrets
They’ve got them all

The nice ones, too stuck on plans
To ever be free, college and marriage
Is all the dreams the see
The tall ones, those with
Beautiful smiles and smoking bodies
Their lights blotted out by insecurities

But who of them will look through me
And who can see the person
That I’d truly wish to be

I stand here, waiting for something
In between it all; someone who
Sees me for that which I am
A girl that doesn’t run from the skeletons
In my Titanic-sizes closet

And doesn’t die from boredom
When I sit still, when times get calm
But I’ve been here before
And I loved my time here, yet
How could I even sit still
With the cries I hear at night

I'm clueless as to how to fall in love
I think it should have happened
At this point, or maybe even long before
My mouth and lips are on someone’s thighs
The cheap guitar I own, neglected in the corner

You and me, for now, is all there is
It won’t last long
Until I won’t see you
Just like you never
Truly saw me.
A poem about my ability to misjudge others instead of giving them a chance.

People have masks
They hide behind
No one asks
They all are blind

People have masks
It's true
No one asks
They have one too

The masks smile
All around
All the while
No one makes a sound

When the mask comes off
You see a face
The smile falls off
They have given up their hiding place
You are much more beautiful when you take off your mask. Even if it is not a happy face, it is what is real. And that is truly beautiful.

not wanting to leave
is still no reason to stay,
because sometimes though you're here
I can tell you're far away.

I can see it in your eyes,
I can feel it in your kiss
so I'd rather want you to go
than to be in superficial love.

She breathes in carbonated air
Only to feel something , anything
As it stings lingering in her lungs
How much more can she bare?

The tears that stream down her starched skin are for the facade
She cares for no one but herself
Her shell slowly cracks to reveal a hollow interior
She will never admit she is damaged and flawed

Will she ever be freed from the superficial and cruel body?
She hurts others so she won't harm herself
She knows that she is atrocious
Does she still neeed my approval? She wants to be gaudy
This is for you
You know who you are

I find it funny
How we live our lives
Showing our love
And gratitude
And everything else
In the value of
little
metal
pieces
And slips of
paper
Whose value
Is more than it should be,
When all we do is
waste away
Until the world is naught
But dust and starlight.
Currency is a made-up concept yet its insignificance doesn't matter because in this world, it's the only thing that matters.

True wealth and beauty comes from
knowing and embracing
your own self-value.
In a world thriving from being superficial, keep yourself strong by knowing your value. Be wealthy in kindness, compassion and charm. All positive features enhances your beauty.

“Do you believe in love at first sight?” -He asks

“No. I do not”- I say

“Why not?” -He asks again.

(Because falling in love at first sight is like falling in love with an appearance. The hair, the eyes, the body may all be perfect. But what about who’s on the inside. Such things are not gonna matter for the rest of our lives. Will you not love them when you see the flaws? Will you not love them when they are a mess?  Will you not love them when they aren’t as perfect anymore? As if their looks could show me who they really are. I don’t need such superficial love.) - I think

“I don't know.”- I say.

Don't let faults be firm
when love is
soft.
Nothing in this world is eternal. This is one of the reasons why...

I feel like a small gift,
Wrapped in layer upon layer
Of shiny wrapping paper.
Now, it's being torn open,
Only to reveal that it was broken.
