Ah, Pinocchio--povero burattino°--
Always in a scrape; always in a jam.
The irresponsible, wooden-headed numbskull
Couldn't help but fall for every scam.

A walking, talking stringless marionette,
Pinocchio really would have had it made
In a modest home with babbo°° Gepetto.
But, instead, the foolish youngster strayed.

Ignoring the advice of the talking cricket,
Pinocchio EVEN smashed it with a hammer.
That right there should have been a reason
To throw the little rascal in the slammer.

The Fox and the Cat had no trouble
Dissuading the puppet from going to school,
Thus involving him in a series of adventures
Which often made him look like a fool.

The Fairy tried to be a good influence,
But Pinocchio's lies caused his nose to grow.
Constantly ignoring responsibilities,
The misguided boy, suffered constant woe.

(Swindled of his money, hanged on a tree,
And saved just in the nick of time
From being eaten, Pinocchio had
Too many adventures to fit into this rhyme.)

Fleeing with his lazy school chum Lucignolo
To the Paese dei balocchi,°°° there Pinocc
Turned into a donkey. Of all his follies,
This one had to be a masterstroke.

Once again a puppet, Pinocchio was swallowed
By a giant Pesce-cane,°°°° and then guess what!
The foolish boy was finally reunited
With babbo Gepetto in the fish's huge gut.

NOT until Pinocchio thought about others
And proved he was an honest and caring boy
Did his fortune start to change for the better,
And the stringless puppet became the real McCoy.

Does Pinocchio by any chance remind you
Of any politicians out there at all
Who fail to listen to expert advice
And thumb their noses at common protocol?

And speaking of noses, we can also see
Politicians' noses grow as they tell lies.
Lying to themselves and to others as well
And ignoring our best interests and flouting compromise.

Such politicians--unlike Pinocchio--
Have strings to pull when performing for the masses.
The more they avoid solving REAL issues,
The more they end up looking like *****.

They also love--these clever burattini--
To sell a bill of goods and promise many things.
But someone out there--or some corporation--
Is slyly and cleverly pulling their strings.

Do you ever wonder if these same politicians
Ever think about or care how you feel?
Will they eventually--as did Pinocchio--
Prove they have what it takes to be real?

Tu, burattino speranzoso,
inutili sono le tue lacrime,
prive di senso,
travolte dal suono del cucù, ora.
Oh pupo,
ti deprimo,
ma leggo in te le stelle
e le ambizioni
che non raggiungerai.

Tu, carcassa macchinaria,
affogate sono le tue grida,
laggiù negli abissi,
natie d’un assassino seppellito.
Oh superbo,
ti disgusto,
ma vedo in te la cenere
e l'onore
che cela la sua paura.

Tu, spirito magistrale,
fittizie sono le tue glorie,
immense e spettacolari,
dal desiderio d’infestare i sogni altrui.
Oh dannato,
ti inorridisco,
ma percepisco in te il teatro
e il potere
di un applauso solo cortese.

Io, universale, infinito,
superiori sono le mie trame,
io che tramuto in lazzi
lo spasmo ed il pianto.
Oh folle,
m’illumino,
mentre distrutto mi guardo allo specchio urlando:

ridi, mostro, ridi!

Ridi, bestia, soffoca nel sorriso!

Ridi!

Ridi!

Ridi!

You, hopeful puppet,
useless are your tears,
without sense,
swept away by the sound of the cuckoo, now.
Oh puppet,
I depress you,
but I read in you the stars
and the ambitions
that you will not reach.

You, mechanical carcass,
drowned are your cries,
down there in the abyss,
native of a buried murderer.
Oh proud,
I disgust you,
but I see in you the ashes
and the honor
that hides his fear.

You, masterful spirit,
fictitious are your glories,
immense and spectacular,
from the desire to haunt the dreams of others.
Oh ******,
I horrify you,
but I perceive in you the theater
and the power
of only polite applause.

I, universal, infinite,
my plots are superior,
I who turn into jokes
spasm and weeping.
Oh madman,
I light up,
while destroyed I look at myself in the mirror screaming:

laugh, monster, laugh!

Laugh, beast, suffocate in the smile!

Laugh!

Laugh!

Laugh!
I'm one and 3, the Trinity of the Nothing
Burattino roams once more,
Chasing fields of golden store.
Fools won’t learn—they always fall,
Traps and tricks await them all.

"AIDS" won’t sleep—it spreads like fire,
Gullibility is dire.

---------------------

Feint, then strike—the goal is hit,
Keeps dull Emelyas glued to it.

---------------------

Chasing chimeras,
March on, young bearers!

---------------------

Cain and Abel,
Evil and jest—
Lies wrapped in labels,
Madness at best.

---------------------

A pastor preaching...
"Thou shalt not ****?"
Die like a hero,
Shoot—he’s the chill.

---------------------

Roses, dreams—but threats come creeping,
I resist, yet far too many.
In the end, there’s tears and weeping—
Ostrich-madness, fear uncanny.

---------------------

Genocide

The public gasps in disbelief—
So many lost, so much grief.
Yet bled dry, the land decays—
Just a whim in madness’ gaze.

---------------------

State Secret

No secrets here—just crimes to trace,
Yet trails are gone, no court, no case.

For madness, slaughter—none will pay,
Yet fools trust leaders day by day.

CowID unmasked their rotten core—
The vilest spawn, the filth, the gore.
Still, blindness hides what all should see—
The willful fraud in tyranny.

Winnie’s Quest

Winnie sets off, chasing honey,
Craves it more than fear or pain.
Sweet addiction drives him running,
Lost in paths that twist in vain.

Generations walk the same way,
Signs mislead them—tricks and lies.
Every road just ends in mayhem,
Make your own—don’t trust disguise.

Fake or real, just keep it ready,
Sip your tea, enjoy the ride.
In your den, alone but steady,
No need for some bunny guide.

Few will take the road less taken,
Mind and soul must light the track.
Fools stay lost, confused, mistaken—
Wisdom never turns one back.
