July 4 th

In God We trust
Between wars an dust
A star spangled banner to fly
On roof tops high
To every human independence to be
Oh say that you see
Barbecue in house
Picnics sadness to douse
Fire works the skies to light
Independence a new dawn bright
For in the land of the brave to be
For everyone life to be free

Pavin

Wishing all the American people here a wonderful July 4 th
Though iam an indian , I do have a certain love for the country and its people. So I took a poetic liberty inspired by the National anthem.
watched an old bloke on the train
struggle to open a packet
of sandwiches and offered him a hand
which he gratefully ate
Too good to be true
Too true to be good
That second one requiers an unfortunate life to be understood

Say what you mean
Mean what you say
I don't see the difference between these statements to this day

Love and loss
Never loved at all
One being better than the other is not anyone's place to call

Keep your chin up
With a glass jaw
Even advice with the best intentions can leave you broken and raw

Silence

Silence a slice of life
A calm before storm

Silence a heart in strife
A gentle healing balm

Silence a slicing knife
Just a painful calm

Pavin
smoking like a fired arm
slave to smooth long legged charm
half of the bottle's already gone
a few more sips wouldn't harm
life can end
in a second, love
I’m just writing
a poem
well, what's wrong with a little destruction

some gasoline and combustion

dam up all emotions and **** it all to hell

i fantasize you croak like toad, in ditch, six feet you fell
