The Terry Tree Nov 2014
A heart that I could call a home
A home that I might find my heart
Walking up a hill at night
Rolling down when sun shines bright
Lift me up into your arms night sky
So that I might cry with tears of joy
To know that there could be a home
For every girl and boy of any age
As this would be my home
You may come and stay
To get away or just to play
Beneath the stars
We'll say good night
And restful sleep
Rest our heads
On loving sheep
Until the dawn

Summon us the rain yet
With the drums that we recall I
Am the corresponding return
Beautiful lunar and thunder to
A rhythm where all seasons of the
Different viewpoints even ugly in the winter
Are holding up the Universal land
An outer space pond having
Baptized resurrection of acceptance in a chosen
Life-cycle that changes all of the
Symbols through your travels which are heavy.
Changes also equal to soul art
Echo countless metaphors of the
Mindless croaking bond.
Teach in us the thanksgiving of
Heaven's harvest and every single thing
That brings a drunkenness and promise of
Choristers with hymns on stone
For a prolonged life is in and of
What solid reawakening has fortuned deep within upon this earth.
Renewed as well returned I
Carry lucky charms and find that I am
Known in other words bound
With the Spirit to
An ancient stand
That is encountering such places found under
Forces much much before the
Egg existed in a frozen
Past lone part of all creation much much before the thorn
Grew from the rose bush you were jumping by
Far down the brook of evolution where the
Message that you ribbit warm or cold
Is soon discovered befriending those of heart and hearth
As we all listen to your lessons and
The magic song revival that you sing
Poetic form | Golden Shovel |A golden shovel poem consists of taking a line (or lines) from a poem you admire. Using each word in the line (or lines) as an end word in your poem as you keep the end words all in order. Giving credit to the poet who originally wrote the line (or lines), the new poem does not have to be about the same subject as the poem that offers the end words. If you read the last word of every line you will read the line that I chose from Ursula K. Le Guin's 'A Lament for Rheged'.

Feel this through me
Heal this in me
This dream of
Am I awake or am I
Asleep?
I want to keep
You close to me
In and out of this
Dreamscape
A carousel of colors
Raindrops are
Rainbows
As your love
Flows in and out
Of the pulse we
Create and bow
Together

Turn over
Toss my head am I alive?
Is this the end?
Am I only dreaming
That the
Feeling is so real
Like you are here
With me
As above
So below
Oh

There you are
Sitting on the star
I left you on
Where did I go?
I remember we were there
Sitting in a chair of love
Spinning in a swing
Winning, swimming
In the depths of our
Buried treasures
Deep in our
Hearts
The
Sacred
Parts

There are good feelings
And there are bad
There are joyous
And there are sad
Good people to befriend
And bad ones to be had
You are my glow
You remind me of home
The breadcrumbs of my soul
Lead me back to our
Original form
Comet-driven
Bold and unforgettable
Brightness
A clamor of ocean tides
Spread wide throughout
The crevices of
Every salty sea that hides
Our Dead Sea scrolls
Of unbelievable
Heralds
Angels that choir
A dance in the sky
Am I losing
My mind?

Feel this through me
Heal this in me
This dream of
Am I awake or am I
Asleep?
I want to keep
You close to me
In and out of this
Dreamscape
A carousel of colors
Raindrops are
Rainbows
As your love
Flows in and out
Of the pulse we
Create and bow
Together

Above the waves of love
Beyond the song
In the cave of our
Eternity
No right
No wrong
In the serenity
Of our reality
My sunlight
My starbright
My out-of-sight
Dreamscape
Delight

Our island of
Disbelief
Free from
Grief
And the
Midnight
Love
Thief

I thought I was asleep
I thought it was a dream
The electronic shock
Of lightening
Pulsating through me
Moving at speeds
Of light
Incalculable to
Conceive
But I can
Feel
Feeling
Real
I feel
You
Feel
Feeling
With
Me

This is our
Dream

Topaz dreams and fire flowers
Find their way into
Shadows and streams
In the space between
Our hearts and minds
Seams of alchemy
Blowing stars into birds
To touch our courageous
Sunlit beams
Dripping
Kissing
We

Keep
Running from our light
Praying that we’ll stay
Painting colors oh so bright
In the emotions we display
Flying

We are a painting in one another
A brush stroke full of hope
A paradox of intimately curious
Wings that have found a way to cope
Building a birdhouse home
On the backs of each other
Bones and sacred stones
A paradox of intimately curious
Wild tornadoes

Embracing
We walk in dark we walk in day
With footsteps often clumsy
And telepathy is not as easy as
Psychics will convey

Your hair is made of flowers
Or at least it seems that way
Our hearts are painted gold close to
The way the yellow birds that play
Around us when we stand
Glowing in our space
Exclusively
Beneath the tree
We made
Where Amen’s tears
The sun god
Rain

Around our love
Rushing in rushing out
Breathing in breathing out
Hold me close push me away
Both of us praying the other
One will stay
Kneeling
Pray

We are a painting in one another
A brush stroke full of hope
A paradox of intimately curious
Wings that have found a way to cope
Building a birdhouse home
On the backs of each other
Bones and sacred stones
A paradox of intimately curious
Wild tornadoes

This is our butterfly parade

Create in me
A whole new being
With sunlight
And invisibility
Even in the things
We cannot see
All Unseen forces
In nature
Many say
Cannot
Be

Create in us
A way to view
The things we need
To see it through
The miracle
The revelation
The tenderness
Of all creation

With respect
With love
Combing the care
Brushing our fingers
Through every single hair
Of one another

Looking up with
Eyes of wonder
A childlike spirit
Of thunder
Create in us
Forgiveness
Ethereal joy
Every girl
Every boy

No matter what age
No matter what stage
In our lives may we
Strive to learn
What you teach
Feeling renewed
Everyday
Not tired
Nor afraid
Brand new
When we
Awake

With respect
And With love
Combing the care
Brushing our fingers
Through every single hair
Of one another
Soft strands
No demands
Gentle
Hands

A newness
A wholeness
A tenderness
To care for
One another
Our Grandfathers
Our Grandmothers
Our Great Great
Ancestors
A magic
Interstate
A pure love
Light show
Earthquake
Of eternal
Growth
And
Blow

Explode with
Revelation
A rapture of happiness
Rejoicing in the prize
The gift of one another
The jewel of our lives
The sweetness in
Our eyes

With respect
And With love
Combing the care
Brushing our fingers
Through every single hair
Of one another
Soft strands
No demands
Gentle
Hands

Amen

Happy endings are
New beginnings when
I look into your eyes
Celestial sparks
A giant surprise
Of knowing
Life isn't actually over
It's only just begun
My one
My love
My heaven

In everything we face
Every scar we make
Every risk we take
As Spirit guides us
I feel myself falling
Into a great escape
Of wonder
And disguise
No more hate
No more lies
Only love
From above
Be with me
In my pain
My surrendering
Our Torchlight

We live in a world
That is so confused
Incredibly abused
My butterfly
Our whisper of eternity
Calming us down
Raising us up
Introducing possibility
Giving a serenity
Nothing can take away
A tranquility
Nothing can break away
A peace
That no one
Wants
To hurt

The prayer in our forever
Hearts
The promise of protection
Alarms
Bells in our heavens
Happy endings are
New beginnings when
I look into Your eyes
Celestial sparks
A giant surprise
Of knowing
Life isn't actually over
It's only just begun
My one
My love
My heaven

The pulse in my blood
Streams like the rivers
In the beautiful scenes
You have given us
To receive and breathe
Together
To actually
Seize the understanding ways
That you teach us
Every day

To see through the haze
The earthly daze
And feed us
The eternal truth
Of unity
Without judgement
Which is
A cruel and ugly
Imposter
Facing us away
From Loving
In another
In the way that
You have love in
Every child
You have
Fostered

Running through the fields
Of your affection
I ask myself
Are your arms not yet sore?
How you receive my heart
My love my treasure from above
Our heaven
Oh how you never tire
Oh how you never bore
Ever beating
Ever believing
Never retreating
Heaven's door
Watching over
This
Us

Never growing old
Of what we become
How we try
You watch over us
Like your favorite
Movie
You listen to us
Like your favorite
Song

In the face of every beast
In the touch of every animal
Like an army of love
From heaven above
Protect us
From darkness
The sadness of
Confusion
Abusing
Each other
One another
You are
The ultimate
Lover
Of
All

Born before the moon
Conceived before the sun
In every heaven
In every sky
In the womb of every galaxy
Ever born
I am yours
You are mine
And
Happy endings are
New beginnings when
I look into your eyes
Celestial sparks
A giant surprise
Of knowing
Life isn't actually over
It's only just begun

Our One
Our Love
Our Heaven

KISS THE SKY

Stepping
Into one another
Simply seeing
Our whole
Being
Life as it is
Individual
Hit or miss
Just
Like a
Kiss

They say no two
Snowflakes are
Just alike
Nor is the
Kiss between
Two lights

If we let go
Of what we should
And stop thinking
How we could
Have been
A better version
Of ourselves in
Some distant corner
Of a past life
Some unknown
Universal portal
That survived
A Milky Way
So far away
You and I
We can
Kiss
The
Sky

You and I
We have the power to
Grasp and please
The gods of every
Tree, every lake
Every stone, every sea
And every
Heart that has a home
If we can come just
As we are filled
With the truth
Saved

Of

Who we are to
Our true selves
Our true beings
Be the stars
Stepping
Into one another
Simply seeing
Our whole
Being
Life as it is
Individual
Hit or miss
Just
Like a
Kiss

Take one step forward
Feel the beat
Turn around
Stomp your feet
Now move back
Fear has left
Can you feel it?
Put your hand
Upon your chest
It IS safe to start again
Two steps forward
One step back
Why should it matter?
You're on track
Stay with the rhythm
Feel the bliss
Be the soul
Be the kiss

Kiss the sky
Open your heart
Kiss yourself
For a start
And recall
You are a joy
Through the pain
Through all the toil

No one remembers what you want
It doesn't matter anyway

Be the kiss that you are
Make the memory of
The star you were
Created to see
On the lips
The heart
And the
Spirit
You
Can
Be

Spirit
Mother Divine
Grandfather Fire
Jesus Christ
God the Father
Saints Of All Light
Paramahansa
We pray tonight
May we relax into
The stride
Of
Who we are
To
Our true selves
To
Our true being
This I recite
Everyday
For all
Of us
In every
Way

If we let go
Of what we should
And stop thinking
How we could
Have been
A better version
Of ourselves in
Some distant corner
Of a past life
Some unknown
Universal portal
That survived
A Milky Way
So far away
You and I
We can

Kiss
The
Sky
