Side by side,
We walk through time’s forest.
Your steps lead with confidence,
Eyes ahead, charting the way.
I trace the map,
Trust guiding us into the unknown.

We listen—
Whispers in the leaves,
One deep in thought,
The other watching the horizon,
Feeling the air shift.

When confusion clouds our path,
We lean in,
Finding solace in each other’s gaze.

In frustration, we pause—
Our hearts the roots,
Trust the steady tree beneath us.

The forest thickens,
The trail blurs.
Hand in hand,
We press forward—
Each challenge a part of our story,
A dance of give and take.

Leading, following,
Each stumble strengthens us.
Doubt does not falter us;
Our bond lies in how we work together.

Through tangled branches, broken paths,
We find joy.
Laughter rings—
Each clearing a new adventure,
Each turn, a discovery.

As the sun dips low,
Shadows stretch.
The journey’s thrill lingers—
A promise that, no matter the path,
Hand in hand, hearts entwined,
We journey on,
Forever bound.
"The Forest of Us” is a contemplative journey through the landscapes of love and partnership, using the forest as a metaphor for the complexities of shared life. The poem weaves themes of trust, perseverance, and connection, celebrating the beauty found in navigating challenges together. With introspection and vivid imagery, it explores the delicate dance of leading and following, of finding strength in vulnerability, and of discovering joy amidst uncertainty. Ultimately, this piece is a tribute to the enduring power of unity. A reminder that even when the path is unclear, the shared journey is its own reward.

SHE
They:
Why do you fell for him

She:
The soul that spot my fake smiles,
And stared deep down my turmoiled heart asking,
"Whats that bleeding scar behind your silly play!"

You don't have to force anything.
Let's flow together through these holidays whatever they may bring.

Peace be with you! Peace, I leave you, my peace I give to you.
Do not be afraid, but trust in me.
Amen, I say to you: happy are those who believe and have not seen.
For surely, "Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and the evidence of things not seen".
And with Peace like a River; sweet peace of God, flow over me.

Trust in the Lord, Oh my soul.
Be still my restless heart and know:
my soul proclaims the greatness of God; for all my days I will trust in Him.
Amen

In the tapestry of life, two threads entwine, Sadik and Amina, in love’s design. With hearts so pure and spirits bright, They step together into the light.

Hand in hand, they face the dawn, A journey shared, a bond reborn. Through joys and trials, come what may, Their love will guide them, day by day.

With every smile and tender glance, They celebrate this blessed chance. To build a life, both strong and true, A partnership in all they do.

May laughter fill their days with cheer, And love grow stronger, year by year. Together, they shall always be, A testament to unity.

Even behind the clouds and the rain
There is a rainbow, and I won't complain
My faith will stay, my faith will remain
When I call on Jesus' name
When you look beyond the seas of gray
You'll see the light of a brand-new day
The sun breaks through to show the way
So, through it all, I'm gonna say
Even behind the clouds and the rain
There is a rainbow, and I won't complain
Now I'm looking back, and I see it all so plain
What I thought was loss was really gain
Sometimes life is more than I can take
And I'm sure another step and I'll break
I believe you know best, but for Heaven's sake
I'm a little concerned when my life's at stake
I trust you though and I choose to abide
I run to your open arms and curl up inside
Your love is deep, and your arms are wide
And in your merciful heart I will reside
Because there, behind the clouds and rain
Lies a rainbow, so I won't complain

i hope my hope doesn’t break me in half
tried to fit within the margins
tried to damage my confidence
tried for the last
i hope my hope doesn’t keep me stagnant
accepting of every ***** hand
accepting the present as best as it gets
accepting for the last
i hope my hope doesn’t make me lose track
keeping score of my blackest past
keeping mindless men in my grasp
keeping for the last
i hope my hope doesn’t

She unravels herself like a rose
In the palm of my hand.
Some of her petals break off
And lay to the side
The pain of growth,
Making room for something new.

She looks me in the eye,
The tension of letting go
Of reasonable fear.
Too many lonely nights.
The crescent moon of every lie
Hovers over her head.

Piece by piece,
She's laid that insecurity in my hands,
That uncertainty in her eyes,
Slowly turning into trust.
Seeing that I didn’t discard
The pieces of her that flaked off,
In my hands.
Regardless of how bad they look,
They are a part of her.

She twists and she turns,
Her thorns piercing my skin,
One after another.
With confidence, I don’t have to tell her
That I am not afraid.
But I do so anyway.

The crescent moon that hangs
Above her head fills out
And becomes full.
As comfortable as she seems,
Fear still lingers.
No matter how much she
Lets go,
She's been let down before.

In time, my hands will become
A vase that will protect her from harm,
And my heart a place
That will warm her always.
When the day comes she knows,
With certainty, that I am not afraid,
I will still tell her
I am not afraid
