Wait for tomorrow’s new day

"If you'd be with me,
I'd give you the world."
"I don't want the world."
"Why not?"
The world today
Is different than it was yesterday.
It's different from the world
We'll live in tomorrow.
I might not want the world tomorrow."
"So what do you want?"
"To be happy."
Stop saying
     "Tomorrow"

No one knows
the last tomorrow,

Just do it!

-Pastorlee
What is procrastinated is never done until procrastination  is overcome.

I don't know what will happen
In the world of tomorrow.
So today, I'll do my best
With the time I've borrowed
Zack Ripley May 2020
don't let yourself be swept away
By the promise of another day.
And if you have something to say,
say it.
Because no one knows
Exactly how long we get to stay
BeLoved May 2020
She undo me from the tight grasp of the world
The universe hasn't been to kind
Or maybe it's just following behind father time.
God has been stepping on my neck
She see me wheezing
So she give me her very last breath
She tell me breathe slow
Exhale past trauma
Inhale a unknown tomorrow

I stand here today:
The mayor of this broken town;
The president you needed;
The one to lead us home.

Except today, you sit.
You do not feel joyous.
You do not believe.
You have fallen, clutching for dear life.

Tomorrow, I think, will be more.
Lustrous I am, at the thought:
Of my own words;
Of my own promises.

Give to you what I plan for me,
Giving back what I did not take.
Tomorrow, you will have more than today,
You will have more than you could ever dream.

Realism was never my strong point.
I stand here full of dreams.
I stand here with less than you need.
But I stand here.

Because yesterday was the worst of all.
Yesterday broke us.
Yesterday took a piece of us with it,
Took more than we can replace.

You sit quietly, teasing the words from my mouth.
It is you I stand here for.
Your soulless eyes waiting,
For me, for more.

That red eyes of her are
Tainting me as if there is no tomorrow
M May 2020
We meander in the noise, finding our serenity. Both reckless and careful, you led me to wondrous blue. Sincerity flashed upon me. In that moment, I am warmth and safe. Solace and grateful were carved. I am flushed and you are calmed. We stay and tell legends. You are music from waves and I am shell, keeping every drop of tune. The sun kissed the sea; an alluring scenery. Your eyes sings and my heart listen. We are all over the clouds but neither crumpled nor tangled. The sun falls. The beat proliferates. The moments will echo . We wander the big forest like it’s a castle, wrapping ourselves with what we have, not thinking about tomorrow. We are fast cars and electric currents, alive, alive. We are running, crossing and skipping. Traced every outline, roamed every cold ground.
Tomorrow we will be just bodies passing by, but I’ll still live in the sensation of our souls colliding.

This is how I will remember us, in black playing with colorful poetry.
