"All this really is so silly.
You don't need to cry,
you're a big girl"

When really all Im hearing
Is how you think I should deal
With the world
You can't tell it's persevering
It's how I choose to heal
From the chaos its unfurled

As if it's only suffering
You've only known one part
You cannot see the peace it brings
It humbles my bleeding heart

The sun will start to reach me soon
Every time I go outside
It's radiation turns me into
Someone new and I
Will wonder why
I stayed inside my room

But just like you can't feel the warmth
If you have never felt the cold
You cannot learn to love yourself
If you choose not to see the old

The habits, the regret
The sadness, the unrest
It walks hand in hand with the
Moments at their best

The laughter, the worth
The rotting beauty of the earth
It's alive and then it dies
It cycles with intent
It doesn't bother with goodbyes
Just like the night and sky
It knows what it's death will represent

I can't ride through that meadow
Without coming out with pedals on my bike
Just like I'm never clean
I'm covered in the residue of my life

And even though I cry
It's meaning is never lost on me
It's about how hard I try
To face the worst and still believe
There will be another time
I know what all the struggle means
It isn't just a knife

The sun will shine
The rain will pour
I will certainly cry once more
In a life that's truly mine

It's not about defeat
It's not about demise
It's not about trying to compete
It's all about surprise
The shock and awe
To find yourself alive

After all we've suffered
After all we bled
To hope we can recover
That this is not the end

If one day
You finally understand
Who I was and who I am
You might know why I would cry
And possibly join in next time

On that day is hope
That you can call and tell me
If it is really all that silly
How I choose to cope

It isn't black and white to me
Can't you see
That I believe
Life is a kaleidoscope
Reds and greens of suffering
Blue tones of hope
Coloide inside
A cinemascope

The light that shines
Can be so bright
It blinds sometimes
And all I can do is cry
The suffering is the best part. It helps me see the worth.

Tasting pungent, brackish tears,
Never satisfied with the depthless darkness,
Tenebrous fingers reaching from the inside out,
Spreading fingers from my chest resemble an autumnal oak,
Leafless and outstretched, yearning for a new death.
And the light, so certain, could set it ablaze,
With its auroral gleam, yet the darkness persists,
Like caramel or toffee,
Glued in with a sickly, messy adhesion.
I yearn to self-immolate, burning as a phoenix,
Shedding these acrimonious ashes and burning like a beacon,
An emancipation from the amorphous tar tendrils,
And a new embrace into the cleansing sun.
no matter how bad it looks, how dark and depressing it gets, the sun has to and will always shine again.
When a mountain
   I dare not climb
the ropes and tackles
  are in abundance

In great shape
  my body and mind
Not a weak link
  in the expedition

But when a mountain
  I dare to climb
the ropes and tackles
  are often misplaced

Out of shape
  my body and mind
Weakness as a
  spell does bind

Hopes and dreams
  of tireless youth can
be all but forgotten
  in the spiritually aged

Strength   the glittering
  cloak of youth can
fade in weakening
  jaded resolve

But in me common
  traits dissolve
The bucking steed
  will never be tamed

Pigeon-holed the
  misfortune of other
souls   has not been
  allowed by my resolve

But this determination
  is not without cost
The foothills of youth
  are far removed

by erosion caused by
  unstable belief systems
washed away into
  the Sea of Ambiguity

A distant mountain
  I often see
(distance   the deceiver
  of proportion)

Challenged at the foot
  of the formidable sight
halfway climbing
  only to slip and fall

Does this mountain
  need to be climbed
Do youthful dreams
  need to be fulfilled

When these dreams
  are all you ever had
you wake up falling
  or climbing higher

Driven by dreams
  and gifts and talents
that rage like a river
  in the driest desert

calling home what
  must come home
holding on to what
  must be fulfilled

Obstacles that have
  become landmarks
seem to fade
   into obscurity

like threats that
  always remain empty
laughing at what
  used to bring tears

I remain standing
  through all these trials
not unscathed
  and a bit weather beaten

halfway up another
  formidable mountain
making up for lost time
  from a major fall.

today marks one year;
a year since i tried to take my life
today i can say with asurety
it gets better
today i can say with asurety
you matter
your worth
every breath.
your existence alone is a powerful reason to continue living

my dear,
did you happen to know,
the mountains don't stare at the trees,
only the birds do so,
the oceans do not wait for rivers to flow,
before making waves out of ways the wind blows.
believing in ourselves brings innovation in ways we may never have realized before.
Linden Lark Mar 26
There must be something unseen
woven into your very being.
What else could explain
how, with so much weight,
you still move with such grace?
Like a weightless ballerina on her toes,
dancing across splintering boards,
running amok on the stage—
untouched, unbroken-
At peace
A woman, she’s a sun, who shines bright in the morning sky.
She also burns herself in this world to take care of her child.
She becomes the light in our life.

She is the one who gives a life of bliss to us.
Her womb is a place where our souls are purified.
She sacrifices her every need, to fill our life with all the happiness in this world.

A woman is the one who is pure like a holy fire.
She is as calm as a full moon in the night sky.
Her heart is like a garden full of beautiful flowers.

Her love for us is like the ocean, so deep.
She completes the life of everyone.
She crushes her soul , just to look after the world.

And like the sky which is large and wide,
Her kindness is something that cannot be measured.
She is as strong as a rock, hard to break.

She is the fire, yes, the fire
Which gives the warmth of love
But also burns and turns the hatred into ashes.
A woman is everyone’s strength.

She is the one who makes our life beautiful.
She herself is life.
And without her, this life of ours is nothing but an echoing void.

Though the darkness remains,
With the echoes of those voices
Bouncing off the walls you’ve constructed
In hopes the ramparts won’t break around your heart
You can feel the soothing salves
As hope spreads it’s arms to embrace
Hoping you’ll accept the gift of its grace.

There may be days,
Where faces and memories
Playback like a slideshow of misery,
But there is strength building like outer muscle
And the inner you beckon to Hulk;
Show out with your perseverance -
March forward into the best years of your life yet to come
Because here, none of those demons can win

There is light enough
In the sanctity of your glow
That unlike a simple candle
Tenebrous fingers cannot ***** it out.
Dedicated to anyone struggling, know that you are stronger than you realize and you have a light in you that can blind the dark.
Jonathan Moya Mar 18
When the earth is no longer a womb,
just a shriek and whistle of once uttered prayer—
a long,
puncturing howl of everything
that was once you
turned into casualties of silence,
then you know
that death has arrived,
noiselessly,
silent as a missile.

All the clamor outside-
it’s the hibakujumoku,
(the survivor trees)
insisting on life
within the blast radius
of your heart.
Note:
In Japanese, the trees that survived the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki are called "hibakujumoku," which translates to "A-bombed trees" or "survivor trees" in English.
