It felt like a dream sometimes…
You and me!
I closed the book and moved away,
I thought we were two parallel lines.
and Our story in the test of time;
It just couldn’t stay!

Time passed and years flew,
Our story broke and our pages torn,
My words had faded but your ink still run…
Little did I know,
Between all these years and frozen memories
Our story was waiting to be reborn!

And then one day …
I travelled the same roads again,
looking for you in the places we were,
You were standing there with arms open
your voice was different yet still the same
And suddenly ,
my heart…
it was longing to see you and embrace your name.

I thought we were drawn as parallel lines,
unbent, unswayed , untouched
Together forever but never home
but then I saw you…
I was wrong all along the way
we were not parallel lines …
theres a magnetic pull to us…
A different kind of force,
running through our past lives
that always draws us to the same old course.

We are not lines, we never were…
infact we are a circle wide and vast
A stubborn thread that keeps looping in…
A loop through our futures and past,
An open circle, running thru the test of time
May be some wrong turns…
but hearts that always yearn…

Then I saw you and the circle closed,
We are no longer lost in the lines…
Like lovers from last life….
Our story carved thru fragments of time…
Two hearts, fully in love and free…
no longer bound by lines but infinity!

The red string, a thread so delicate it escapes even the keenest eye, yet so unyielding it binds two souls as one. It stretches through time and space, weaving effortlessly through obstacles in its path. Silent and unseen, it guides a journey meant to be traveled, connecting hearts despite life’s chaos. No matter how far it’s pulled or how tangled it becomes, it never breaks. I’ve brought scissors to mine, once even a knife, tired of the chase, weary from the search. But the thread remains intact, defying every attempt to sever it. It holds fast, enduring the weight of dreams whispered into the night and the long sighs of defeat. Even as my hands tremble, losing their grip, the string stays, steadfast, showing me the way. It unravels knots tied by false connections and leads me back to the path I strayed from. It holds the hands that are destined to find one another, unseen but unbreakable. A love so patient, it waits for its moment to be discovered. So I’ll trust its pull, follow its silent call, and hope it’s leading me to you. Are our red strings intertwined? Do they lead us to each other?

“You’re weird,” you say with a grin so wide,
“That’s what I like about you,” you say with pride.

“I like that you’re weird,” you repeat,
Your laughter bubbling, soft and sweet.

"I’m normal, right?" you ask with a glance,
I tilt my head, caught in a trance.

"I like normal," I softly reply,
We both end up shocked, flustered and shy

I love their conversations so much

In another life,
perhaps it was
you and I—
there, we laughed
a little more,
held on
a little longer.

But here,
we’re fragments,
familiar faces,
strangers in the heart.

We spoke of other lives,
but, I wonder—
do you see
we’re bound to this one,
with only one chance
to learn our way through?
This poem reflects the bittersweet notion of a connection that could have flourished in a different reality, a sense of longing for a love that somehow feels both familiar and distant. Inspired by the idea that while we may feel tied to someone across different lifetimes, we only truly have the present—this life—as our one chance to bridge that connection. Consider the beauty and urgency of living fully in the here and now, as we may only have this one shot to explore what could be.

Not sure if I believe in
Soulmates or fate

But if you'll be there

To watch Sunsets
Moon and the stars

Doom our scars

In the winds of
The blue sky nights

I might transmute my
Belief

Stars fell from his eyes each time he glanced into mine.

Do they ever meet? In the city Or in the streets?
Does distance affect their signal? A line in history or a squiggle?
Does the hands of time delay their meeting?
Do the whims of fate wait until it is too late?
Or does the last crow sing where love could have been?

Does the Moonlight shine on the corpses of their promises
Will the Sun revive them on each others premises
Eyes of Brown and Green mix to make a regal forest
Do they ever think of what was, and if they were truly honest

A past like Honey, the present like a sting
Dances never had, kisses never felt
A Future ever more unknown, unworn promised rings
Is infinite wealth better than a love that could melt?

Staring at sunsets, rises, Full Moons and Monsoons
Dry runs my tears, wet from the sweat of my fears
Do you ever step aside and force yourself to remember my name
Or is the thought of our memories one that brings you to shame?

Must I keep writing until the universe takes heed
Or calm down my steed and forget, agree
That it is pointless calculating a love that is no more
Or is it something deeper in my core
That bothers me enough to overanalyzing

I see a Soulmate where the world sees the past
See a muse where the present sees a hindrance
Touch a wound where the cast had failed
Mailed others letters that you'll never read
Wrote ballads you'll never seize
Its of utmost importance, that you know I care
A random poem I came up with this late night. Based on an ongoing series of poems I write as a reminder and calling card to what I deem my first true lover
