Windy love in youth
Two faces so close and lost
Her hairs blinding me

Honeydew
sweet and pure
mouth watery

Green trees
I'm sitting under
shadowed skin

Soft breeze
tickles my legs
light dress

Summer days
of simple happiness
deep breaths

What is simplicity?

Now you are making it complicated
Sincerely yours,
Introvert
Genre: Abstract
Theme: When simplicity is ultimate sophistication

Deep inside
A part of me watches all this
Agelessly youthful eyes
Untainted and unable to be tainted
Cross-legged,
Attention unwavering.

Silent
Giggling
Crying
A shrill voice
That echoes in the
Vast
Lightless
Cavern of my mind

Hand outstretched
Pointing
Dawdling
Recklessly
Pulling me around
Every note clear
Resonating
In my gaze.

Would I but listen
To you and
You alone,
My world would lose its complexity
And my vision would lose
It's simplicity

When I was a kid, the thought of growing up
gave me a weird sickening stomach feeling.
I am grown up now.
But often don’t believe it
(Until I see the fine lines around my eyes).

When you are a kid
You can meet another kid
And just play and have fun.

In theory it should be the same for adults.
But the games we play are often so complicated
That neither party can agree upon or even understand
                 All the rules.

I have been told it is not good to live in the past.
Who are the people who make up these rules?
Everything, including the past, has its place in life.

What I liked about childhood was its simplicity.
Just live and play.
Avoid the rest of the stuff.
Try to win when you can.

Although I am feeling rather high
Eyes are clear enough to see
You don't want to say goodbye
Or to be away from me

I feel the hurting start
Life a peculiar shade of blue
I can't help but dread our parting
Will you miss me the way I will miss you?

Call so I can hear you say
"I love you" once or twice a week
I will try not to bug you everyday
Even when feeling bleak

A smile will stay on my face
Until suffering is done
And you are back in your rightful place
My feet no longer long to run

In a moment I will forget it all
Get lost in simplicity
The time apart won't matter
The instant you fall into me
Another oldie

They shall recall
fragments of you.
Your past.
Your future.
Biding farewell
at the darkest hour.
There you lay
with roses tinged white,
a sight, like art.
And in static handwriting,
your name
be drizzled, in soft italics,
delicately, like craft.
They mumbled
Au revoir.
The voices of the living exhale,
in echo with the relief—

You lived,
have lived,
unforgotten.

It's not about the amount
It's not about the colors
It's not about the embellishments

It's about the meaning
It's about the utility
It's about having something, with nothing done in futility
Poetic T May 2018
Simplicity is telling someone
                something that they
would only get from reading
              my words.

                    Attuned delicately
within a shroud of metaphors.
             Coalescing neatly in a
sentence
of understanding that they see before them.

Things go down when the dominos fall,

I would know, I watched them fall

The scene imprinted in my mind

Lives crippling from out the sky

I'm slow in motion, I can't help

I'm just like you inside this hell

Although I wish I couldn't see

I'd rather silence from the pleas

I feel like I'm going insane

Watching the effects take their place

A choice was made, a result after

So much beauty made from disasters.
Not meant to rhyme...kind of rhymes
