The sky is on fire
In the spaces
Between tree tops
Swaying to the
Orchestra of twilight

Moon's eye opens
I look at her,
She gazes back at me

I can't help but wonder
If she feels
A little lonely tonight

©FaerieFoxPoetry
Such a lovely temple
At which to worship
Performing
Divine rituals
In sanctified flesh

We will beg for rain,
Wailing
When it washes us clean

My soul feels alive
Wrapped in rays
From sunniest skies
Hanging there in
Your bright blue eyes

©FaerieFoxPoetry
These honey thick words
Stick to the tip
Of my tongue
And syrupy thoughts
Are hard to swallow

©FaerieFoxPoetry
I want to
Pour
My heart out
So you can
Drink
Your fill

There are times when I look into your eyes
my breathe comes to halt almost making me
believe that I would never resume breathing
.
.
.
.
Your eyes look at me like a gateway to an
unknown land, unheard of, like a map
unread stirring in me a desire to unlearn all
other routes
.
.
.
.
How I wish to stay arrested in your gaze
When I am enveloped

In raw earth,

Microcosm in my flesh,

Loneliness

Will no longer haunt

Hollow bones
Sometimes
I am a phantom limb
Passing through the body
Of a listless lover
Unnoticed
