pacify me
hold me until the sun rises
blood orange over the horizon
tell me i'm the only one
as if i didn't know
bury my fears
as deep as my head on your shoulder
hold me closer
closer, closer

i've waited a hundred years
but i'd wait a million more for you
nothing prepared me for
what the privilege of being yours would do
if i had only felt the warmth within your touch
if i had only seen how you smile when you blush
or how you curl your lip when you concentrate enough
well i would have known
what i was living for all along
what i've been living for
your love is my turning page
where only the sweetest words remain
every kiss is a cursive line
every touch is a redefining phrase
i surrender who i've been for who you are
for nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart
if i had only felt how it feels to be yours
well i would have known
what i've been living for all along
what i've been living for
though we're tethered to the story we must tell
when i saw you, well i knew we'd tell it well
with a whisper we will tame the vicious seas
like a feather bringing kingdoms to their knees
this is the lyrics of turning page by sleeping at last. through years, it has been the security i'm looking forward. may that security comes by light and easy breaths.

Draw nigh
wounded starling,
dwell among
the woodland fastness;
come under its canopy,
upon the bough's
fractal patterns;
mend your wings,
rest your thoughts;
in time you too will mentor
fledglings, the jackdaws
and sand martins,
teaching them
to safely yonder fly.

Haven't you noticed
That you're my haven
All of my thoughts
You were there saving

You're so beautiful
I should make you my shelter
Don't listen to them
So many people but you're so much better

Leave them all negativity
They're so much insecurity,
Honestly,
When I'm with you I feel security
I love your purity
Be my sanctuary
And I'll show you
My love don't worry

My sanctuary,

Hear me out
Or should I shout
I am devout
And I won't bail out.
Diane you know it's for you. You're my sanctuary. Do not leave me okay? Please?.

I can
Sleep in peace
'Cause someone
Looks out for me
Takes care of me
I'm never on my own
Cause someone's
There to make me feel at home

And
Wrong
At the right places

Sometimes
We are right
Sometimes
Wrong is the timing

Dad was a blowhole,
Mom, a plankton feeder
Who never neglected the pod.

The hunters would come
In their little asinine ships,
Looking to stick our
Good sense with sharp points,
Harpooning us into believing
We'd be better off dead and used for fuel.

But Mom would read to us
Stories from books about high water,
And tip those boats right over.

Nothing dared swim in our wake on such nights,
She was queen to the waves,
Who in bows and curtsies,
Became her subjects.

Little did we know this long, arduous journey
Was driven not by kingdom, but by extinction...
