Pixels seem glue
Every one of them watching you
Brighter than light
Is the screen that is on at night

Blue is the reflection on your eyes
Are you looking in empty skies?
Unwilling to stop because it is
The neverending screen that you will miss

It was once not here, not there
Now it is everywhere
But where are you, where are you really?

Everyone knows, except for you
That is what your screen will do to you

That what has always been seen
Faith Nov 2018
I wish you could see me behind the screen
Who I really was, who I really am
If I could see you face to face
Know more than just your name
We could be friends in real life
But you're hundreds of miles away
So I'll dream of meeting you one day

lost in this world created on a screen,
I can't even see things that really matter to me,
I miss the rawness of your voice,
the pen to the paper,
now we have an abundance of choice.
I can type without looking,
I can manage five tabs while ordering food,
--whats cooking?
everything is so instant.
we are the impatient,
the damaged,
and the distant.
adaptation creates us to be dynamic,
but I can't seem to not panic.
you are high and dry,
but you're glorified.
you keep staring at your phone
I am just begging to know
why

sitting in a coffee shop
a man is grinning while
he stares at his laptop
the light from the screen
reflects off his glasses
and his eyes are great
white orbs and he
smiles and smiles and
all I can think is
that I will never
hear you sing again

Stay up late on your computer, just to ignore whats in the background...

Blasting your speak or headphones to the highest volume found?

Eyes locked on whatever is attracting your mind to the screen

Consumed by your emotions and thoughts... the things unseen

Possibly in the dark, devouring food to satisfy the emptiness inside?

Deep in thought? Lost in people, dreams, and lies?

Oblivious to the time that slip through your fingers

Not to be disturbed by any forgotten chore that lingers

And sometimes... you may break out with a sigh...

That's slowly turns into a scream...and a mournful cry....
When your alone.. dont let your past or pain haunt you...the Lord is with you and always watching over you... he is there... he is listening...its easy to push away the pain l..but if not dealt with correctly and it can be a burden.. He can help you and will help you deal with it. He Loves you ♡♡♡ I know life is hard and dramatizing

Hopefully, we’re deeper than the screen we’re staring at.

Can you hear me?
Are you open?
It’s only a cup of water
I can take, that’s all
that would fit on my hand.
The heaven up above us
is hearty, big enough to drip
a generous drop for free.
Drink it, it isn’t salty is sweet, sweet sea!

Heaven is on the wings of the clouds,
flying free for anyone to see.
Swear to God one is keeping an open eye
But is unseen in broad daylight!

Nothing did I hide,
though I said it time and again.
The time wouldn’t stop.
It never did screening is on.
As if it says, “How can you tell
You can’t see yourself?”

The sky is open down the horizon
Yet one can’t be seen
Because someone is not showing.

What is behind is me.
The same is true for you.

One can’t see one’s self
through the other
The discovery is made together!
The show is destined for a duo.
.
That one is her mirror
Through the very one
One matchless nature see
Who is she?

i sit awake
in an empty room
staring at a screen

while she lies awake
in another room
staring at a screen

i slowly wake up
roll over in bed
stare at a screen

she's already up
eating oatmeal
staring at a screen

i pour my coffee
sit down with my cereal
staring at a screen

where'd the day go?
already late afternoon
staring at a screen

i refill my water
gulp down some health
staring at a screen

a neighbor drops by
just to say hi
and stare at a screen

time to prep dinner
need a recipe
so i stare at a screen

chop chop chop
cooking up a storm
staring at a screen

sit down together
sharing a meal
staring at screens

scrubbing the pots
drying the plates
staring at screens

plopping down on the couch
resting from a long day
of staring at screens

crawl into bed
kiss goodnight
stare at a screen
Are the screens staring back?

no one else is home but Mother
She works downstairs below
working
working
working
she cannot be interrupted

sitting cross-legged on the patterned rug
I stare at the television with wide eyes
until the screen goes black

the static rainbows do not hypnotize me
no, it is not the waves of blue light
time runs away from my childhood as I stare in awe
as I play with the laughing people
the laughing, singing, dancing people
they talk to me
they play with me
they love me
until the screen goes black

a rush of panic takes over my body
I am pixelated static
grey fuzz
where have my friends gone?
the show is over
I am reminded that I am alone
raised by television
