The surface of the water ripples
like little portals to another world
the stone sinks through
and then disappears

The water becomes still
the portals have closed
but maybe, just maybe
I can still get through

To go to another place
far away from here
where I have no one
and no one cares

Maybe if I got there
people with love me
I'll be happy
I'll be wanted

The ripples, a splash
is all that's left
swallowing the stone like mist
before everything disappears

Put some stress on those legs
Not a dress that begs
My permission for takeoff
caught the wave... are we high; are we there yet?

I sat at the edge of the river dipping my toes into the cool water dreaming of another life.
I watched the ripples and the little fish thinking life must be so much easier to just swim around.
I figured they don't have to worry about romance and love.
They don't know what heartbreak truly is- pain and madness in a never ending loop.

I thought... just one last thought before i put my shoes back on and headed back to reality.
I thought, life is like the ripples in the water.
Our problems start so small, then ripple out and eventually...
they start to faded away.

A drip in the clouds...
One drop…
                      flowing down…
                                                    across the wind…
and to the ground.

A pitter a patter,
       it doesn’t much matter.

Rain keeps on dancing
       as this teardrop evolves
And quickly dissolves…………….into ripples.

Ripples on the surface

Currents far below

Light they never see

Dark is all they know

The mind
when immersed in memories
of yesterday carried by
hopes of tomorrows
and thoughts that like stones
on the surface of a lake
skip from feeling to heart
tracing ripples of emotions
as from nature's beauty
to the smallness of self
is a universal totality
brushing wind over water
to wave onto shore
a life that lost on Earth
helps grow the next wave
that reaches beyond
into the horizon
where some go to sleep
while others wake
are born or take last breath
to be born again
matters not if the sun shines
or the moon reflects on its surface
glass only gives back
the reality of what is
not what one wants
the universal blanket
over and under
above and below
into time on end
not wavering not changing
to accommodate humanity
sustains eternity
what was and what will be
wishing to be more
is as a mere leaf that falls
over an oak seed on its bank
majestic in the passing
before and after us
is where we take part
of forever

We engaged the engines, collected
the imagery of this place to further
our understanding of a vast pool.

Then we jumped, like a motion of
splashing down ripples silently
unseen fading into the distance.

We saw reflections of ourselves,
of our past, of what maybe our
downfall. We were like pebbles.

Sinking deep within the ocean
of raindrops, we were a grain
in the universe of stones.

We were called puddle jumpers,
splashing down on waters of
the unending universe.
Short one may make it longer later :)

Right there in the pool
Where I saw a reflection
Your ripples resound
OK, so I'm working in the Love chapter. My favorite chapter.

Red, dark and light, apples,
They sell it for Rupees 80 a kg,
Available sans the ripples,
But sans bargaining not so easy.

Even the grapes, delicious,
They sell it for Rupees 80 a kg,
Appears to be so luscious,
There're many other fruits here.
