I feel like I'm stuck in a world full of strangers.
Invisible to everyone I meet,
Visible to everyone I haven't met.
Living in a land, somewhere in between,
waiting to return.

I crave for that familiar connection.
You know it all too well,
that instantaneous, gravity defying,
tear inducing, stomach turning,
gasping for air like someone has stolen your lungs,
smile for no reason,
the fuse being lit for that
spark
of a connection.

But yet when I make myself visible,
make myself vulnerable,
lay myself open,
as if I were on the operating table,
It's still not enough.
Even ripped open, I seem to find no cable of spark,
no artery or vein of connection.

Yet I am hopeful that someone will come along,
and take up residency,
put the gloves on and pick up the scalpel,
and transplant themselves into my soul,
return me from limbo,
and give me a way out.

Perhaps then,
I won’t be
stuck in a world full of strangers.

I could’ve spoken,
could’ve screamed.
But some battles
aren’t mine to fight.

He saw it all—
the looks,
the lies,
the way they tried
to dim my light.

So I stayed still,
not out of fear,
but faith
that justice
has a better voice than mine.

You ache to speak, to set things right,
To call out wrongs done in plain sight.
But silence, heavy as it seems,
Can guard your soul and guard your dreams.

He saw the lies, the twisted truth,
The wounds they hid, the stolen youth.
So hold your peace, let vengeance wait—
God writes the end, not fear or hate.

Dear Krithika, wish you a very happy birthday
Seldom, are you not full of joy
Conversing with you is a lot of fun
Thou art such a cool cousin!

Dear Krithika, wish you a very happy birthday
We may not chat everyday
Nevertheless, we share a lovely little bond
Thank you so much, for appreciating my poems to no end!!

Dear Krithika, wish you a very happy birthday
May everything go your way
Many memorable moments, have we shared
Quite a lot of fun, have we had
Always, will I cherish our relationship
Your affection for me runs deep!!

May you have a fantabulous day
May you and your family get some quality time together
Wishing you a fantastic future
And may the Almighty bless you abundantly forevermore!!

“I like you.”—but not enough.
Not enough to stay, to care,
To see the way I withered,
Piece by piece, beneath your weight.

You took what you needed,
A hand to hold, a heart to lean on,
And I gave until I was nothing,
Until even my shadow felt thin.

Now there’s nothing left to take.
No warmth, no light, no fight.
I have run dry, drained hollow—
I hope I was enough to quench your thirst.

If you're askin' yourself, "How do you know?"
Then that's your answer, the answer is "No"
You know when you're in love.
It's unmistakable.
Undeniable.
So, if you have to ask yourself if you're in love,
then you're probably not.

I like the number 2,
so much in fact
I like it twice,
as in 22.

Now 2+2 equals 4,
but some say 2+2 equals 5,
It's quite the moral conundrum.

Still 5 is a cardinal, a prime,
why the Pythagoreans
thought of 5
as the marriage
between heaven and earth.

I empathize with 5 though,
for that's a lot of pressure
to put on a single solitary digit.

But I think I like him too,
he's a friend of 10,
which reminds me of
fingers, toes and Bo Derek.

But let's get back to 2,
which supposedly is company,
and 3, you see, is a crowd,
yet odd first and foremost
--Mersenne knew best, I guess.

Which brings me to 1,
small, but positive,
coveted, but united,
a face of multiple identities.

And should any other number
devise against it,
they would have no
success at all
--none, zero.

To be honest,
I think 1 likes 2,
and vice versa,
they're a complimentary couple
--both highly dutiful
and attracted to each other.

After all, it's said, "Someone may overpower
one alone, but two together can take a stand against him."

Dear Bro, wish you many happy returns
Always, do I enjoy our calls
You are a wonderful person
So proud am I, to be your cousin!

Dear Bro, wish you many happy returns
I so love our visits to Eating Circles
Your jokes keep me entertained
Some of them are absolute gold!!

Dear Bro, wish you many happy returns
Cheers me up, does your mere presence
You are also amongst the coolest fathers
Sahana is so much fun to be around
Though of course, on the other hand
She can be devilishly tricky at times!!

Dear Bro, wish you many happy returns
To be highly valued, are your suggestions
You are almost like a mentor
For us, so much do you care!!

Dear Bro, wish you many happy returns
I hope today was one of your best birthdays
May you have an amazing year ahead
With many a blessing, may you be showered
I hope to catch up with you soon
May you shine brightly as the Moon!!
Wishing my very dear cousin brother Gautham on his birthday today.
