You grazed my mind,

it still itches to this day..

Which I  love because,
with out a scratch to itch,

A reaction we will never learn.

             What made us think
                          in the first place.

A graze is a scratch of reflection,
and the itch is us looking deeper
                             than the initial reaction.

Give me a chance and I will morph like clay
Remember my past I'll be gone in a day
Point my imperfections and I will love you
Pretend to lift me up and I will see through
Speak to me in the dark I'll stay by your side
Wave to me in light and you will be denied
Sometimes people think they're so slik I find it comical.

The Law of Karma is very deep
As you sow, so shall you reap
The bad you do will make you weep
The good that you do, you get to keep

It's a Law of Action, a Law of Reaction
It's a Law that says you get what you give
A Law that ensures what goes around comes around
A law that's for everybody on this ground

The Law of Karma is born from your Dharma
It's a Law, a Universal Law
A Law that watches all your actions
And a Law that ensures the same reaction

If you plant tomatoes, you won't get mangoes
If you plant cactus, you won't get a rose
So also if you do good, your reward will be good
And if you do bad – what returns is just as bad

What is this Law of Cause and Effect?
A Law that ensures the balance is perfect
A Law that records everything you do
Good or bad, it must come back to you

But how does this law work, we don't know
It belongs to the One who created this show
It controls how on Earth we come and go
Does it end at death? The answer is NO!
Our Body may die, but our Karma stands by
We CAN escape our Karma – that is a lie!
Our Mind will be reborn to live and to die
We will continue to suffer and cry

Death is not the end; it's just a bend
Whatever we have done has to be undone
If our actions are rewarded as we live – that's great
Otherwise, the residue will decide our next fate

Is our body responsible for how we act?
No, it's our mind that's in charge, in fact
Thus, the Law of Action is that of the Mind
It's a new body that the mind does find

It carries the good and the bad that we do
The score doesn't settle at death when we go
Life after life, the score goes on
The score decides how we are reborn

So should we suffer again and again?
When will we finally escape this pain?
We can if only we Realize the Truth
We must get to the bottom; we must get to the root

What is our purpose of life on Earth?
Are we just born to die and take birth?
Where did we come from? Where do we go?
The Law will go on till the Truth we know

Are we the Body? Are we the Mind?
Are we the Ego? The Truth we must find
The ignorance that's around us, we must rewind
We are Energy of a different kind

The Law of Karma makes this world go round
It's a Law that makes sure all's well on the ground
The Law is for all who come and go
Except for those who understand the show

Those who realize we are not the body or the mind
Those who are able – the Truth to find
They are the fortunate few who escape from action
For them, there is no Karma, no Law of Reaction

When bad things happen to the good, don't blink
It's the Law of Karma in action, just think
If you plant a seed, you will face the deed
For what you do will come back to you

If you want to master the Law of Karma
You must realize that the world is a Drama
You must know you are not the body and the mind
Then True Joy, Bliss and Peace you will find

taste the whip
ache just like a woman
but you break just like a girl
different colors made of tears
oui c'est la folie
chain reaction and mutation
it's in the air for you and me
welt rises

When someone praises me
I'm like a deer
under headlights
Of course I'm delighted
beaming,
even
But I really don't know-
how to respond
...
Do I brush it off?
Act like it's
not a big deal
whether or not
it really is
And move on
to another
subject?
...
Do I just stay quiet
Look down shyly,
and smile?
Or just let the conversation
pass me by?
...
Do I adamantly
reject it?
Refuse, and insist
to the point
that the person
before me
ends up
fighting with me
about
it?
...
Do I roll with it,
faking non-existent
confidence?
Owning up to it,
sometimes
in a joking manner?
...
Do I immediately
switch the topic
to praising
the one
who praised me?
Or have them talk
about themselves
to turn
the
attention from me?
...
Or, do I just smile
large and wide
and thank
the person?
...
I don't know
and it irritates me
that I can even have trouble
with something
as lovely
as a compliment
...
It's not
negative
hurtful
or even
a criticism
...
So why does it
bother me?
...
Maybe
...
I care too much
about what others
think of
me

When a person is
Caught off guard
Is their natural
Reaction
Fight
Or flight
...
Or freeze?

Sometimes,
One can play it innocent
Diffident
Flight
Backing off
Easily

Other times
One could play it cool
There’s nothing
Wrong with what I’m doing
And I ain’t moving gurl

Then, there’s the freeze
Just stop
Stutter
Or don’t even speak
Um’s and
Uhhh’s
Leading
The other
To come to their
Own conclusion
...
So, which one do you do
Flight
Or fight
...
Or freeze?

So done with this algorithm ,of humans
beings and, their cruel intentions,
I pour a drink out ,for all the dead ones, that
won't have kids , or make it to 21,
I could make it here , or get my harmony in
a little town, that I could call home,
Trials and tributes , they follow me, in any
of these places or where ever I go alone,
These little kids that call themselves men,
Raised up off taxes and food stamp bends,
They grew up with homies , don't mean those
your friends,
Impressing them is more believable than
pretend,
They pick on you to expect a reaction.

He struggles and ponders,
reads and re-reads,
My markers fail before his eyes,
his naivety takes over,
A fruit? he queries,
I burst out in laughter,
Can be, I agree, but I await for more,
he peruses and my ribs tickled,
amused and curious, I stayed,
at his innocence that shined.
A Mango! he exclaims!
No! I equally enthused

'A woman, a fruit,
delicious and mystical,
for a man who craves'.

'Oh'  the meek sigh, a tiny sound,
concurred or dissent, I know not,
In a flash came a verbal rebuff,
back to his annoying self.

He annoys and appeases,
A friend I have known for years,
Mine forever, I know for sure,
no matter what he says.
This is for my dearest friend, Andy, who just read my poem "Alluring..Her"  and thought it is about a fruit. I promised my next is on him, and I take those seriously (my promises, not him) :)

Therapist: How are you feeling?

My answer: Currently experiencing hell on earth.
But nothing major, just a slight reaction
                      to the misery my thoughts
                      are dragging me though.

Therapist: That must be hard
