Past the dark streets that wind and bend.
Return me to what I used to know.
Bring me to the roads diverged into the wood.
Let me take the road less traveled as I should.
I refuse to stay along this normal path.

Milestones Toward Oblivion

A milestone here leans heavily
against a gaunt, golemic tree.
These words are chiseled thereupon:
"One mile and then Oblivion."

Swift larks that once swooped down to feed
on groping slugs, such insects breed
within their radiant flesh and bones ...
they did not heed the milestones.

Another marker lies ahead,
the only tombstone to the dead
whose eyeless sockets read thereon:
"Alas, behold Oblivion."

Once here the sun shone fierce and fair;
now night eternal shrouds the air
while winter, never-ending, moans
and drifts among the milestones.

This road is neither long nor wide . . .
men gleam in death on either side.
Not long ago, they pondered on
milestones toward Oblivion.

The thoughts by others
The international time of the path
Develop of the road
Unknown
Yet recover by the mystery
Others twisted in the different
The greatest
The proud
The known
Alive
The waving of time knife
Ready to the time of the ready 
red ink

five-thousand strides through the greyish plain
thoughts pass through
as the green of the spring, brings a nascent smile
i keep my rhythm and ignore the pain
as i grow more weary
i leave it all behind
with each passing breath
and the path shows clearly

The clock was wrong so we leapt ahead,
and now I’m left as good as dead.
The days without you drag on like lead.
Then nightfall comes with darkness and dread.

I know we can’t make it work, but we have too.
I know I can’t go on without you.
I search to fill the void in my heart
But the only key is the one who tore it apart

Forever is a long time, it’s scary to hear.
It’s even scarier to live for forever in fear.  
We ran before walking despite advice from our peers
you tripped on your feet and we fell like our tears.

So for now we take two separate trains
To seek out answers to our internal pains
Although our tracks must split this way
What keeps me going is knowing we’ll meet again...some day.

A choice of disconnection
An examination of a new option
An opportunity to change direction

An opening
An invitation given for heavenly interruption
A deliberate choice for a fresh listen
A much needed full-stop punctuation

A calming - a sit stilling
A waiting - a head spacing
A surrender - a release
A long deep breath
And an unexpected end-of-the-road Peace
