No one ever asked how I felt

When the box was open
And all the demons flooded out
No one ever asks how that felt

I’ll answer anyway
Crushing
I felt stupid
I had allowed my curiosity to get the better of me

Remember, though, that I was created for this
The gods made me
My curiosity engineered
So they could release evil into the world through me
And condemn me for the very act they orchestrated

Sure, my hand pulled the lid off the box
But the God's created the box and my hand
My will and the evil inside that box
All beyond my control

I was created as a weapon
And so I will be one
I force against the very gods
Who
Tricked me
Betrayed me
Created me

Who I am now is my own and I scream to the Gods
“I am nobody's creation.”
I don't always say much
It's like a slight touch
People go silent when I speak
They listen to me like I'm a freak
Saying whatever I say
That makes everything okay
Giving them peace of mind
Getting me out of any bind
Another song on Pandora that invigorated me

I'm a little
-
scared

To open up that
box

That desire
A never dulling     -
fire

How to keep it-
at bay

The desire to       excel      exceed
Ambition

A calm,
avoidance
denial
SO
   Much
         easier
But,
Should           I
Open this

Pandora's
        box?

Box
Box

There is an old wooden table with rickety legs;
It looks as though it is ready to break,
Under the weight of the treasure chest which upon it rests.

A little brown box in the centre of the table;
The dust has had time to settle and the spiders have set their trap.
A torn piece of paper next to the box tells the story,
Of the contents of the box and the power that it has.

Do not open the lid, unless you are prepared for all evil.
Do not make a mistake and make sure you keep your faith.
The greatest heart stood before this lock,
Will simply break apart and shrivel.
What more is there to say?

You have been warned; do not touch.
Keep away, because all we have to give is hope.
Is it really worth the cost?
Are you sure that you know?

The souls of humanity are the price to pay;
If you decide to open this box
And ignore what the warnings say.

The world falls apart at the fringes.
Reset. Bright light. Mind wipe.
Later, some time much later.
I have forgotten it all.
Only to remember.
A cycle of breaking amd mending.
A cycle of failing and reseting.
The rumble of worlds turn over,
More times than I'd know.
I feel the tremors, delusions or not.
But the heart of this problem.
The meat of it all.
Is this ****** door.
It's weathered, worn,
But resistant to time and change.
Beneath the creases of its ironwood,
Darkness screams forward.
Calling, crawling closer to me.
Later, some time later.
I remember, I open the door.
The Pandora's Box of mind.
My world crumbles, white blind,
Reset.

You came and took my breath away,
Took my soul and now I'm clay,
For you to mould as you see fit,
To reassemble bit by bit.

Give me a brain to think of you,
Give me a heart to bring life new,
Give me veins for my blood to race,
Give me fingers to stroke your face.

Take my brain and make it yours.
Take my heart and smash it on the floor.
Take my veins and tie them in knots.
Take my fingers and let them rot.

You came and took my breath away,
Stole my soul and left me clay,
For you to slice and pound and rip,
To dismantle and to leave in bits.
An unbalanced relationship.

A new horizon brings new hope;
Hope seekers gather here
Treasure and Riches is what they hear;
Kings proclaim an ant is an elephant
Creating conflict all anew;
When you gather at the horizon in search of hope
In its stead, the church chimes ring red;

They come for the gold
And leave to the rich man below
Despair is all they know;
Hope is on the Horizon for new adventurers to seek
Hand in hand the cycle repeats

Hope brought up
So it can crash down;
Leaving nothing left
Not even the crown;

Pandora’s Box foretells
Do not trust it
A wolf in sheep's clothing;
Hope
Masked despair;
A new horizon brings new hope;
Beware;

“I’m your key, Pandora;
I’m just as guilty
as you are”

A box was opened today...

It had hidden invisible things I had not dared to fathom.
It locked in demons I've held at bay.

I see them now...
Callousness behind kind words.
Animosity muttered under muffled breaths.
Malice laced with every smile.

I was blind.
Or was it that I had conveniently chosen not to see?

Was I not intuitive?
Or was I indifferent?

The second had struck past...
I am now crestfallen.

The box is now open.
And I am haunted.
