Now! is the time
for those loved least
A howl!
assembles the spooks, kooks, and beasts

An autumnal lense looks
at cracks between light
Be brave! Embrace inspired fright
Reach into the shadow
and we just might make friends
with the spectre called Life

We are alive! Let's celebrate this
divergent experience we co-create
Pretend this came out around October.

It can’t make it
It can’t go on
It’s numb
It’s giving up
It’s tired
It’s forced to keep moving
It slumps up
It takes a step
And another
It walks
It walks
It walks
It walks faster
Faster
Faster
It tripped
It cries
It sits down
It looks ahead
It wants to keep walking
It stands up
It walks
It walks faster
Faster
Faster
Faster
It’s running
Faster
Faster
Running
It slows to a steady pace
It made it
And It can’t tell the first line it makes it

Expectation and desire,
Of an outcome in a situation.
We might do anything
To push ourselves in the right direction
Stubborn like a wanting child,
Defying their mother.
Optimistic and undiscouraged,
We demand some things we cannot have.
Do not give up hope,
But there are certain wishes that will not come true.

Look forward, my sweet
Climb up the mast and
Look forward
A turning point
A precipice
Steel yourself
And do not stop
Please, just this once
Only look forward, my sweet

Perhaps
The gentle sigh of the wind in the trees
The giggle of the mermaids that live in the stream
The happy and casual conversation between birds floating high above
Every rock's jagged surface, laced with soft moss and dew
And bittersweet candy that lingers on my lips and fingers
Perhaps
These are good things.

Soon season's truth
cruelly lingers, looms,
moves to darken daylit view;
as dusk encroaches, colors move,
hues reduced and trees left mute.

You cannot wish
or want or choose
wildflowers too
wont wilt where grew
as if futilely doomed
once winter wounds
will chill to ruin,
beauty we lose
illuminated only by
a cold white moon.

For springtime comes
and i swear to you
no matter what we knew
or became so used to
amidst the weeds
our heirloom seeds
still bloom anew–
if only wait,
I'll prove to you.
Very rough 1st-ish draft 😅

You bellow my appellation,
unworthy soul
you vociferate
proclaiming
my worthlessness.

Your cries echo
with ignorance,
lamenting my alleged
idleness
and ineptitude,
prophesying
my perpetual failure.

Yet, I shall Pivot,
standing resolute,
a smile
gracing my visage
as I regard you
and declare,

'One day,
I shall bask in Prominence

One day,
Prosperity
shall be mine.
Joy
shall accompany me,

I Will be Industrious and
Honor Will Adorn Me

I will Ascend
Far beyond your reach,
and you will remain oblivious
ensnared
in the depths
of your own despair,
until you glimpse my face
from an exalted realm,

a perspective
forever unattainable
to you.
Optimism is not a challenging endeavor; it flows naturally from one's disposition. The true arduous task lies in embracing and applying the knowledge that has been bestowed upon you.

I didn't die.
I felt the sun on my inner eyelids.
It appeared on time,
Traipsing from the east.
I last saw it dropping like a child's ball
Just west of the St. Clair, into Michigan.

All is all right.
But I know to expect
Changes in the weather,
And seasons... lots of seasons...
I will dress appropriately.
