“The past is never over —
it stays with us,
like a nightmare living in the present.”
past always walk beside us.

every turn a double take
every glance a mistake

the club has many faces
but yours is the one
I hope to see

I miss you.

When the world moves slow enough to breathe,
My thoughts wander back to you.
To fight back would be to defy the tides.

Faced with myself irrefutably
The image of my heart
The reflection of my failure

An eternity I left uncherished
For a moment... of ... something.
I miss you.
i miss you...
I once wasn't scared Hoping love was for me No longer Maybe enclose  your shame lust isn't all fun and games both sides loose fun in the rain after perception of a actual connection we would flee in opposite directions It was taken a toll leaving us old and dull
Hope someone enjoys take care you matter!!!

there is peace to be found in stillness,
watching life play out from a distance
like a belated guest that joined halfway through,
like none of this pain belongs to you
and you could stand up and walk away
anytime if you wished to.
when you see yourself on the screen, does it move you?
do you want to step in and interrupt it,
knowing exactly what's going to happen?
of course, you can always edit it later
before it gets sent to storage,
before you decide which one you like better.
for you are the viewer and the director,
making commentary on your own lack of skill;
an omnipotent deity, if you will.
now that's a comparison you could get behind,
but it's all taking place inside of your mind
and the next scene's coming up soon.
it's a shame you've missed on so much of the plot
worrying about small mistakes.
now you know that nobody else seems to care,
so just take a seat and enjoy the view
like none of those fears belong to you,
watching life reveal itself in the distance.
there is hope to be found in stillness.

🥃

I must’ve been drunk,
under a spell,
or half-asleep
with my soul on mute

because some of the people
I let into my life
were the kind
I wouldn’t let near
if I’d been even
half
conscious.

Not in daylight.
Not with clarity.
Not with my guard up
and my self-respect awake.

like a fool
hosting thieves
in the middle of a dream.

This piece captures the bewilderment and regret of past emotional decisions, highlighting how vulnerability, distraction, or denial can invite people into our lives who never deserved the invitation. It’s a bitter laugh at our own temporary blindness.

So you’ve got troubles
That doesn’t make you unique
I know there are times
When you start to feel weak
You’ve got to face them
You can’t just wish them away
Talk to each other
Or it will fade away
Don’t leave each other guessing
Stop playing your games
Or you might find yourself feeling lonely
And you’ll be searching aimlessly

Stand Tall; Don’t you take a fall
Let the music rock your soul
When life gets you down bounce back for more
Stand Proud; say it out loud
No one and nothing can keep you down
Prove it to me the next time I see you around

Working together
You can accomplish great things
Sharing your secrets
Brings you security
Trust in each other
If you truly believe
You’ll find your path
To all of your dreams
Problems will always stand in your way
Stick together; fight them away
If you try to fight them yourself
You may find her walking with someone else

Stand Tall; Don’t you take a fall
Let the music rock your soul
When life gets you down bounce back for more
Stand Proud; say it out loud
No one and nothing can keep you down
Prove it to me the next time I see you around

If situations pull you apart
Stick together; keep her close to your heart
You better find a way to make a new start

Stand Tall; Don’t you take a fall
Let the music rock your soul
When life gets you down bounce back for more
Stand Proud; say it out loud
No one and nothing can keep you down
Prove it to me the next time I see you around

Put on right out of the womb, a crown was placed on her head
5 diamonds are placed to represent each burden
Perfection
Therapist
Extra parent
No remembrance of her childhood
And giving when there's nothing left to give
As the years go on, she will make mistakes
Hers being the hardest to forgive
She will take the pain and burdens of the ones who brought her into this world and others without a second of hesitation and still feel as if she is not enough
She will me extraordinarily mature for her conquest asked of her
But not nearly mature enough for what she wants
She will put every person before her
But when she does something for herself, she's called selfish and lazy
She surrounds herself with books to take her to a place that expects nothing but the flip of a page
Countless times,
She will compare herself to others
She will stay up late working on that paper to get extra points just to please her parents
She will have impossible expectations to meet
Do you know who she is?
She's the eldest daughter
She won't want to have kids for the fear of putting her oldest through the same pain
But most of all, she won't get what she craves the most
Unconditional love
If you've read my profile bio, you would know that I am the oldest of 5. It's hard. It's hard to be the oldest with so much on our shoulders that isn't our to carry. This poem expresses how I feel about it. And to all the oldest siblings- YOU ARE ENOUGH. AND I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!
I overslept with you –
We were dreaming about nothing
I secretly kissed your cousin
And I know she wants to make us public

I fell asleep on top of you –
But it wasn’t that comfortable
And you only fed me lunchables
And I haven’t met your mother still

I shared the night with you –
We had to share your single bed
Your girlfriends are my girlfriends
Before I even get to call you my girlfriend

I made this mistake of loving you.
