Stormy

I'll kiss under the torrent of rain
I want to sweat through the cool shower
Perspiration mixing with droplets
Bleeding off my lips
Salty sweet into your lungs.

Take my hand,
We can dance to syncopated hearts
Like blast beats as the puddles rise,
Twirl you ‘round as the wet explodes from the parasol of your dress.

We can stay within the confines
In this open ballroom,
Crashing upon ourselves,
Slick with angelic tears
Scented with pollen and petrichor.

I dare to dream,
Of blossoms in spring-
Sprung from the ache of a storm
Where we waltzed undeterred by the crashing clouds.
May you forever see the beauty,
Wrapped within a storm cloud
In which we kissed.

I have a fantasy of doing this in the rain. It's such a mundane fantasy, but it's one I think about often.

Who do fools fool
When is one fool following the fool?

A wilted rose
Crumbled inside a sweaty velvet hat
Where a dead rabbit lies dormant

"Abba Cadaver!"

Silly little cottontail
Didn’t you read the advert?
Tricks are for kids!

This magician makes spirits disappear
Like a seance with his liver,
Voices speaking loudly
The ethanol cleanses sorrow from the proud
When he goes to bow to a one-man crowd.

Hold court with a disappearing act
One can see the card drop below the white glove
But ignorance is bliss, like cotton candy after a meal missed
And ******, I came to see a magic show!

A dove appears in the form of a crow
Painted white and dead as winter snow
Stiff upon the ground, he swears it’s flying.

Just another deluded drunk,
Down the pail, and dying.

There's always that one person you know who thinks their S doesn't stink or that they have the upper hand on you...like a poor Houdini.

Come sit with me
beneath the moon,
when you feel lost
and hopeless—
like there is no light.

She’s learned how to shine
through all-consuming dark.
Inky, unforgiving.
No light of her own,
yet she gives enough
to make the shadows
yield in their mission.

Talk to the moon with me,
while the wind caresses your face.
Call the moon by her name.
Ask her about balance—
the never-ending dance:
how much to give,
how much to keep.

She never apologizes
for waxing,
for waning,
or even disappearing
completely from the night sky.

Yet still, the tides rise,
and the wolves
never stop howling.
Never questioning her power
In her absence.

Let the wind carry your words
Whisper her name,
Luna.
Then ask her questions with me.
No one else is more likely
to hold answers for hearts like ours.
She’s fought more battles than we can count,
yet look at her tonight—
scarred,
and utterly stunning.

And perhaps,
if you can find the silence
on just the right kind of night—
where her scars glow the brightest
And the wind is humming soft through the trees—
the moon and the breeze
might conspire,
and bring you something
your heart desires.

The lessons of the moon,
carried in whispers on the wind:
how to stay soft,
and just a little magical,
in this savage,
yet ordinary life.

Lui si atteggia da grande,
sembra che pensi, sempre,
si vede dalle sue espressioni
le idee che gli passano per la testa.

Il suo sguardo si muove veloce,
da destra, a sinistra, a destra ancora,
molto brutti e cattivi i suoi occhi,
solo un poco ingenui, liberi.

Forse ha paura, si vede,
ha le spalle alzate,
un po’ piegato in avanti,
con la testa bassa. Triste. Ma contento.

Ma all’improvviso si trasforma:
si muove come un prestigiatore,
le sopracciglia saltano come grilli,
e tante risate tra il barbone e il prete.

he seems to be thinking, always,
you can see from his expressions
the ideas that pass through his head.

His gaze moves quickly,
from right, to left, to right again,
very ugly and evil his eyes,
just a little naive, free.

Maybe he is afraid, you can see it,
his shoulders are raised,
a little bent forward,
with his head down. Sad. But happy.

But suddenly he transforms:
he moves like a magician,
his eyebrows jump like crickets,
and lots of laughter between the ***** and the priest.
