When we communicate and we don't feel seen - we may tend to intensify and overemphasize certain aspects. We identify stronger with them which makes them seem insurmountable and unchangeable. This is when we try to prove something.
Know who you are but don't fall into the trap of clinging onto a certain self-image. Let's keep an open mind. There is nothing to prove because truth cannot be changed. When there is nothing to defend, there is nothing to lose.
There is nothing wrong about aging. We all have been aging since we came to life. To exist means to age.
So why in some stages of our life we desperately wish to age and in others we try to escape it?
It has always been and will be an important and inevitable process inseparable from life itself. Can we learn to embrace it without judgement?

Now I understand how relationships oftentimes made me stop progressing and growing. I tried to stay the same deliberately because I was afraid they would stop loving me if I changed.
Basically staying attached to what I thought the person loved about me...
...At the same time through relationships we learn and progress anyway.

Within days
to lose your eyesight
fear boils from inside
darkness complete
never mind to drive away
racing cars impossible
retinas now stars in the sky
now that I am the passenger
in my own car, along for the ride
I observe
now I truly see
I did go about 90% from detached Retinas, and very scary indeed, however they can now operate on this and had my eyesight completely restored, so for about a month had to rely on good friends and neighbours to get about, we did have some fun, my neighbour didn't have a car and was thrilled to death to race around with mine. It is true, that when you can not see, sometimes you see more of who people are and the world around you. A valuable lesson indeed.

It seems that so many times, one person may not see enough of the other to truly respect and understand the intentions and thoughts of each other.

We may be frightened and lose sight of the goals and opportunities we are presented.

I look forward to the future, don’t dwell on the past, and cherish the present.
And it is all already with you.

So frequently one may be clouded and not see the beautiful things and beautiful people around themselves.
So frequently we convince ourselves of worry and angst and
so frequently we blind ourselves of any escape we may have.

I don't know how to put this into words
It's about losing fear of emotions,
I just learned and discovered a technique,
It may sound simple yet be unique,

Instead of losing oneself in emotion,
Acknowledging them,
Then change focus with caution,
And put it on your body's landscape,
This may sound as an escape,

But it is not, it's an attention-shift,
We focus ourselves instead of drift,
We bring our attention to the now,
It keeps us present and this is how
We can acknowledge and allow,
Any emotion that comes up,

Perceive what happens in your body,
Can be as simple as your breath,
If we practice being present,
Emotions will stop being a threat.
Meditation insights. An anchoring technique put into a poem. Keep putting your anchor on sensations in the present moment, in your body, after you acknowledged and labeled a feeling/ emotion that came up.
