Twinkle twinkle, you little star,
You don’t deserve this world, by far.
For you got killed with such brutality,
By a few who can’t be questioned about their mentality.

You got dragged into something you could barely
understand,
The aftermath of which left you with a broken hand,
They dispatched you at a dump, cold and dead,
After the sadistic thought of seeking vengeance struck
their head.

Maggots had fested your body,
Rodents had bitten your leg down to bones,
How could they even fathom something so dastard,
Those men without backbones.

As you laid there in the dump,
Your eyes gouged out.
As it reflected your helplessness,
A cleaner saw it and let out a shout.

As the news spread across the nation,
Every citizen might have had a similar notion,
‘Twinkle twinkle, you little star,
You don’t deserve this world, by far!’
Twinkle,a young toddler who hailed from Aligarh, India was brutally tortured and killed by two men in a fit of rage over a petty issue. The brutality was such,it left the nation shell shocked.
Being honest can either go two ways.
You can have everything,
or you can have nothing at all.

there are seven billion people here
millions of whom
have killed
and robbed
and stabbed
and lied
and spit
and cheated
and you hate you
why
seven billion people
and you hate the only person
who looks through your eyes
and is innocent when shot

Laugh as you did before

So free
Not for the better

harsh words spoken
old wounds open
hidden emotion
when love walks out the door

in time, it will come

you try to maintain your mystery despite the history

you cannot hide from me
you can no longer hide what lies deep inside

you cannot ask me of any more.

Every good is dying species
It is rare to find something nice.
It is too late in the living
And I have stopped believing.

There is a creep around every corner
Comes out when naive comes closer,
Changes them to face harsh facts
No one's innocence is intact.

It is lack of justice and law,
Not fast with many flaws.
Lack of security in many places,
discrimination in gender and races.

Everything to consider even,
Odd to think as human.
For a difference of opinion,
No need to show the gun.

Very easy to sit on sofa watching TV
No consequence and no liability
I say my thoughts out loud
I have lot to complain about.

Every beauty is filled with ugly
Covered up nicely
Beneath the skin, an unpleasant view
We sell the same old as brand new.

My neighbor said:

"Make sure she is on her side so that she doesn't choke on her tongue"
And I giggled. I laughed.
He didn't.
Oh, he wasn't kidding
So I turned her on her side

I was 11.

My mom overdosed on pills in the front lawn
I stood there in disbelief.
I called 911

"yes, hello, the address is 3435 Park Ave.....its.....its my mother.....she fell down the front steps and she is shaking, she's seizing, and she won't stop....she needs help....yes please, hurry."

And I wait and I wait and I wait and I am standing there.

My dad is approaching. He is walking home from the train stop.
He doesn't see sirens at first. He is walking. And I see him notice the sirens and he sprints to me. We don't hug. He know what is happening before I do and I have been there for 45 minutes.

They stay at the hospital for days. She is on suicide watch. But it's just an accident, she just mixed the wrong pills. She didn't want to die. But she did. She did. I know that now.

She wanted to leave me behind.

please just hang the world up in
