muffle every groan
and moan,

you only water
the plants when you need them to
flower and bear fruit

Cool aqua marine
Stillness sinking into blue
I wait for the sun

My fears sink down deep
The pool offers little warmth
I wait in the sun

Questions float in time
Waters answer in silence
I wait with the sun

In the gloomy dark
I chased the light everywhere
The dark drenches me

The shadow of the aloe plant
Is as still as the sunlight
That crawls along the wall.
