(oh please, please **** this
take this life, I don't need it
I don't know, what reality is
because I cant see through all of this)

{digital heaven, electron clouds
negative zero, screaming out loud
digital angels, burning in hell
downloading demons, no soul to sell}

(it is time, time for change
it is time, for better things
to get away, to the other side
to fall asleep, and open your third eye)

{getting away now, ascend into blue
digital cancer, the way out is through
through my digital heaven, electron clouds
negative zero, screaming out loud}

(that was once, was once me
it was once, was once us
what we've become, something processed
feeling so numb, take my last breath)

{getting away now, ascend into red
digital healing, waking the dead
getting away now to the other side
breathing in slowly, spun out of my mind}

Put your lips around the glass,
Lets play adults for a minute,
You could the upper hand,
But don't come off as timid,
Are you sure got enough ingredients out of your moms liquor cabinet,
See if you would have asked permission,
It would not happen,
But since make martinis and play your on your laptop in the living room,
I might as well just come and have a drink with you.
Hum can I get it dry lol

Hickory dickory dock
Our phones are now our clocks
Digital has won
Analog's died out
Hickory dickory dock
another rewrite I did.

She is dark haired
Faired hair
Blue eyes
Brown eyes
The curvy perky pervy mermaid
Of quiet joys named Maria
The fairy queen of the Autumn roads
Master and mistress of mystery
Shaded tints
Of unknown
Digital history
Cloaked in anonymity
Baring my solemnity
Wearing layers of dignity
And desire
Is inspired
A crackling volcano
Of unmeasurable passions
A shadow thief who stole my heart
Monument made of more than beauty
By all the curiosities
Of Casual conversations
It is not out of obligation
Or out of courtesy that I court
Her kindhearted pleasure
It is merely for my pleasure
That I treasure such a jewel
I will never meet her in person
I will only know her in poetry and prose
And as far as that goes
It is a grand gift she bestows

When work needed done
We used to pound the pavement
But now we just punch keys
We're living in the digital age
Full of neon signs and L.E.Ds

Some say it's the future
Some say it's a disease
I say *it's okay in moderation
Just take a moment
Unplug
And Breath
We need to find our personal balances between living in reality and living behind a computer screen
people can accidentally send you pictures
with the love of your life,  living without you
and not think anything of it- what a miracle

i keep seeing hawks
or maybe it’s really you
swooping down to tell me what’s new
maybe they’re buzzards
and they can tell how i feel
lost without you,
a useless spinning wheel
maybe they’re birds but
maybe they’re planes
and i’m looking for meaning in nothing
in this digital age

There is no sense of urgency anymore.
Our problems are getting worse
And we keep burying our faces deeper and deeper into a digital stupor.
Every time we look up, the world looks a little grayer
And our eyes have to strain a little harder to see the beauty that is left.

The digital exhale
Pushing out
Content creation and idea regurgitation
Outfacing ideas, concepts
These things become the shell, the defined exterior of us
The fodder for perceptions
Of others
About us
We update, share, ideate and create
We post, pronounce and proclaim
We share with trite exclamations
Cute cats
And clever #hashtags
We spray forth our digital exhale
Hoping
Believing that we will be, become this feed
Of me
Until we are
Out
Of breath
And then
We must, gasping
Pause. Stop.
In the momentary emptiness of ourselves
The frightening hollow
Of our millisecond of solitude
Touches of singularity
Haunting, taunting us
With ourselves
Too much screen time makes me want to scream
