They say blood is thicker than water
And Friendships never last

Yet I see flaws in their words
Cracks in their statements
As I gaze upon mine.

Is it possible for a mother to not cherish her son?
Is it possible for siblings to exploit and milk one another
Of their riches and simultaneously not care for their hearts?
Is it possible for children who grew up together to cast away
Their eyes when their brother is bleeding broken on the floor?

Behind their embracive hugs and smothering kisses
To us, their brothers dearest
They spy in our eyes and our fathers smiles
Such riches that will carry them to their swollen graves

Alas however friends though not related turn out to be
The second family you are granted by choice
Your staunchest supporters; your gentle confidants
Will be the friends that stick by you no matter what

Isn't it surreal that friends would drop everything to come to your aid?
Isn't it surreal that friends will degrade themselves to console you?
Isn't it surreal for a best friend to know you fully and understand you
Completely more than family and then accept you with your flaws?*

Family is stuck with you; no choice given-tough luck!

Yet friends choose YOU; your Knights in shining armour
Spilling out my frustration with words and rhythm
Swords that clash and clang with might,
Blood is spilled but still they fight,
For honor, glory, money, land,
Or little child with helpless hand?

They fight to save those who are weak,
Those who think themselves too meek,
They fight for those who fell before,
And of course those they adore.

Defenders of what they think right,
Neither wrong, just filled with fright.
The Other's thoughts are strange and new,
And change is something they won't do.

Neither wants to fight this war.
No-one likes the blood and gore.
But they will fight till Other falls,
To keep them from each other's walls.

A difference is a war-like shout,
That causes fights and fearsome doubt.
But difference is a coloured sky,
and beauty to the naked eye.

Difference- while the start of war,
Is splendor, charm, and so much more.
It is grandeur to behold,
And worth much more than precious gold.
I didn't really like the how this poem ended but it's good enough for me to post (for now).

Upon you I bestow
The spell of fulfilment,
And shower you with
Sparkles of achievement,

Upon you I bestow
Nothing but the best,
Banishing all the evil
And leaving you the rest,

Upon you I cast
Happiness that will last,
Whatever disturbs your present
Or awakens from your past
Away with it I blast,

Upon you I cast
An invincible barrier,
Protecting you from any curse
Any that may evoke danger,

———

Lifting off any burdens
Causing you to break,
Drawing the curtains
On any regret or mistake,

On your checks I smoothly brush
Glitters, giving you smiles,
Any obstacle I shall crush
Whatever triggers your cries,

On you I softly blow
Twinkles of rejoice,
Making your heart glow
Lighting up you beautiful face,

On your forehead, a gentle touch I lay,
Putting you to sleep,
May your mind be at peace I pray,
No more will your heart weep.

In order to protect myself
I built a wall away from you
Hid behind it

In a way of defending myself
I cursed and yelled and kicked
So you wouldn't touch me

But I have failed
You get to me
Your words hurt

Everything ******* hurts
Even things you don't mean to do
They all hurt me

And even with my attempts
To stay strong
To be happy

**I have lost all control
Whatever

Never apologize for love.

Because if you truly love something, you will defend your love.
You will fight for your love.
And you will prove your love.

Don't give up on love
and never, ever, apologize for love.

Because if you do, you never truly loved it.

I swear, to fight when you are fought
To provide safety when you are vulnerable
To give comfort where there is hurt
And bring love where there is emptiness

Standing, sword drawn, at the cliff tops
of your mind,
How can I defend you, when the worst
lies within?

I closed the door
And sit on the floor
Looking through the window in the wall
To the tree leaves in the fall
To the kites that fly and soar
Suddenly, the wind started to roar
And gently went through my soul
Whistling in my ears like a call
Talking, as it referring to us all

Saying: please no need to fear
I am just looking for someone to hear
All those houses humans tear
All those children that can't bear
All that blood, all that fear
Or that killing atmosphere
Children are killed with joy and jeer
They are helpless and got nothing to wear
Why they can't veer
And live along with cheer
Why justice can't appear
But after all that, children never sear
They still stand and rear
Defending themselves without a gear
Please do something my dear

Its breeze was clean and cool
Dancing with paper and wool
Playing with water in the pool
Whom I kidding, I am not a fool
All that children, all that poors
I wrote this poem for the children that are slaughtered and killed in Gaza...may God be with them <3

It's hard.
I know.
It's a struggle,
with no end.
It's getting messier,
day by day.
But never forget
Our nationalities.
Our identities.
Who we are.
Who are we.
Because this is
Our place.
Our land.
Our home.
And we defend it.
