You leave me wandering for days
In my head as to who it is
You really are.
What intentions you must have...
Or must have buried.
You're like an incomplete thought,
Suspended in the air
Ready to be had.
You make me wonder how fast one must run to be free from one's own chains.
Frustrating, isn't it?
When you have so much time to think and to live but the thought of life confines you.
To turn away from it all would be irresponsible
After all, your problems are petty right?

the most beautiful thing about poetry is
how the beauty of the words evolve
with you
the more you experience
the more you learn
the more you write

you recognize phases in life
that you didn't know existed
you read old poems but
still feel the same passion
as when you first put your emotions onto paper

you witness greatness becoming perfected
but never reached because
as a beautiful entity
you are forever growing, forever evolving

or maybe the most beautiful thing about poetry
is how you can translate intangible emotions
into relatable words without even fully knowing
what the final piece will be
sometimes you have a vision of the words
and other times the fingers move for you before your
mind can process what is going on
the more you write
the more you see
the more you understand

poetry dares you
to grapple with your emotions instead of hide them

poetry is transformative.
to put it simply

Telling you "I'm fine, mom."
is always easier in English.

her
she's got me thinking about her not dreaming about her,I admire her laughter and motion thereafter, she's made me a stalker it's hard to admit to the matter, we should be lovers to feed your heart's hunger.
this girl, this girl is the ****, my mind may be cluttered with dirt than a bit, but her sight clears it all just a glance just one hit. her eyes tell a story that I can't unfold, I yearn for the moment where life will be paused, as she tells me a story of how she turned bold. I want us to be friends and dig deep down your soul, so I can find closure because I'll give my all...
I really want to get to know you, I know men usually say that, but I'm an opportunist...I seek for understanding in a woman....and the only way to find that is to have a conversation with one.

Honesty is so freeing
but so terrifying

Like bungee jumping,
with the pure sweet adrenaline
pumping through your bones
telling you you'll be okay,
you'll be okay,

You're okay.

That's why
I'm still wavering
on the edge of the cliff
feeling the tight straps around my legs,
knowing I will be caught
when I fall
but still seeing the
thousand foot drop beneath me.

Every time
A car saunters by
In the blistering heat
Breaking up the visible waves
And making my heart skip a beat
I think of how unholy I must seem now
Only because you simply
Cannot, will not
Just leave me alone.
I'm shutting myself in
In my house, in my mind
Because I am so afraid
Of confrontation with you
Of interrogation
Of your judging looks and incriminating comments
That make me feel even worse
I'm scared to go back
You have scared me out of religion
Out of believing
You have shut me in
Like you tried to shove me into the doors of your church.
Every time a white truck
Pulls into the driveway across the street
Of just how everyone is a sinner
How you have tied me down there forever
How lost I am, when I know right where to go
How you shut me in and secured the doors
Removed my comfort and injected paranoia
Just leave me alone
In my shut-in mind
Because I do not want to go back to your church.
*******.
I'm not trying to bash religion. The pastor at a church I haven't gone to in 5 months will not leave me alone and I can't handle their teachings and criticism anymore.
