If I was a melody
Then you would be the harmony
Cause you would be the part of me I lack

And if I was the moon above
Then you would be the sun I love
Yeah you would be the light that I reflect

And I don’t know what I would do without you
All I know is this

The stars could die a million miles away
The earth could shake and cities blaze
Still I would love you—fire, snow or rain
I’d hold you, keep you safe from all the pain
A song draft I finished but abandoned
Stephen Knox May 21
Look not around you, but feel all the sounds.
Their swirling and mixing together compounds.

The connections reveal, that behind something drives.
All that is down here, at the very least, our own lives.

Where one thing will stop and where other things start.
With higher perception, you'll see more that your part.

Feeling and seeing, how all this connects.
Awakening the oneness, that the body rejects.

The closer you get, the more ringing you hear.
By releasing your pain, all the barriers disappear.

Hold an intent, throughout all that you say.
Drawing tomorrow, inside of today.

“I don’t want to feel this way anymore.”
I said, as I walked out the door.
Blocking  all avenues.
Because that’s the only way
I could be me again.
Free again.

you couldn’t have wished for more
when her touch is softer than her kiss

you couldn’t have wished for more
when her smile is as sweet as her sigh

you couldn’t have wished for more
when her cheeks are as warm as your chest

you couldn’t have wished for more
than when her laugh is freer than her cry

you couldn’t have wished for more
than her arms stretched wider than your rest

In the vast abyss of emptiness, as nothingness
reigns supreme, there lies a flicker of value,
a glimmer of hope.

Within our power to decide what treasures
we shall pour into the hole of our hearts,
the means to mend the fractures of
our souls – to be whole.

I'm a man of my word
Completely unreliable
You've probably heard
If you know me you'll know it's undeniable
I'm talking all of it, not a third
Like how Christians view the Bible
Even though they know it's absurd,
Otherwise they'd be way more scared
But with me it's actually believable,
You can see everything's unachievable
