Everyday I muddle through
Meandering the waste land, a
Plethora of subsatisfactory
Tasteless apathy
Indifference to the bottomless
Nothingness that thrives
Existing to die
Sleep walking in ---
Silence
Read the first letter of every line for funsies

I am asleep on the couch

Everything around me could collapse and I wouldn’t have a clue

It’s all roses and sunshine inside my weary head

Dreams are not honest and I don’t wish them to be

I am ready to wake up

I can’t feel my toes,
but you are asleep!
I could not move you
if I tried— I’m weak.
This has no hidden meaning. This is completely literal my cat is asleep on my chest and he doesn’t usually sleep on top of me and like I don’t wanna move him but I’m shivering haha

Somehow,
After all these days,
I still don't remember.
Where did you go?
Where did I leave you?
When you walk out that door,
Leaving me torn,
You're teaching me to live without it.
But still we wonder.
When we all fall asleep,
Where do we go?

I'm writing a small poem every day, about how I feel or the world around me. This is #1

I think more clearly when I sleep,

        its when I'm awake,

that I'm overly confused???

Bathe me in your love
with lukewarm kisses,
shampoo my hair
with your speeches,
condition with care
and let it dry on sun flare;
                                    then
put on
my favorite pajama
and let my lips thank you
as my eyelids pull the curtains
of my mind
and I fall asleep
