you and your 4 am eyes
strip me layer by layer
in total innocence
unlike anyone I have ever known
it's unintentional for sure

you don't know how you affect me
how your pillow wrinkled cheek
gives my fingers butterflies
or how your freckled eyes
make my pupils open wide

you have given me love like no other
and you have no idea

We’re like two sunflowers, dear
Intertwined and always near
But when you’re gone
Suddenly, I’m not so bright
Withering until dawn
Waiting for your light

I want to see you when you wake up
hair a mess & weary eyes
I want to hear your scratchy morning voice
watch you struggle to stay awake
I want to see the sunlight creep slowly across your body
watch your eyes flutter open
I want to wake up with you
What planet of my life
Is there anytime?
In the front door on my own
Blue butterfly upon the air
As my world is our last word
To see many people will forget
Whereismymemory.

Mission of compassion
To save the day before I
Who is on the ground
When is love and wisdom
Of all walls against
Whereismyhelp.

Colours of Shadows
In which I am alive
For whatever reason I rise
Away with it or not
But why would the key disappear
I did it for whereismyworld.

One dozen migratory Black-and-white Warblers lay
like fallen piano keys on the sidewalk in front
of a 14-story glass constructed building;
I watched as the janitor swept
them into the street.

Writing is like falling in love; scary, stunning, difficult, amazing, big sweeping gestures, and falling from a plane... but it's worth it.
This poem's a part of a longer piece from one of my past works. But I loved this last part so much, I thought I would just make it it's own little thing.
