is going to put us in a trance
a little somethin' somethin'
is gonna to make us wanna dance.

a little somethin' somethin'
is going to bring a girl
a girl with a curl,
is going to bring a guy,
a guy that doesn't lie.

a little somethin' somethin'
is going to open our eyes
show us what we can find.

with a little somethin' somethin'
our hearts are gonna fly
heading to the blue panoramas of open skies.

a little somethin' somethin'
gonna dissolve all we disguise
a little somethin' somethin'
is going to bring peace to our minds.

a little somethin' somethin'
we just gotta find,
it happens all of the time,
gratitude and blessings
for everything we can describe,
for every tune we hum
for every time
time is on our side.

A night bird is singing,
his call calls out,
he sounds just about right
singing about
a little somethin' somethin',
we hear it in our dreams
when our eyes awaken
sometimes, not always
we remember
a little bit of everything -
a little somethin' somethin'
it's right there,
a little somethin' somethin'
we can grab it if we dare.
I know a little somethin somethin is also the name of a beer, not much of a beer drinker my self, but I guess we gotta find that little somethin somethin for ourselves.

Tonight
a million flowers loom
clouds of gypsophila bloom
at my window and beyond
the jasmine vines, they crawl
saturate and scent my paper walls
these night lilies, only a dalliance
that blooms and fades
your hands soft upon my legs
we are drunk from dulcet wine
sung from the moon that dips
caress of your reddened lips
as we travel this world
lilting softly slow.

This house, it does not speak of me
I am unknown to these adobe walls
these cool clay floors
I press my feet against
wanderlust, I dance
through desert nights I roam
these sands to drink the moon
and follow stars toward home.
I travel endless nights
painted blue with black
wait for sunlight
once again to warm my room.
Nights I dream to be
in wild fields
with you.

I was born in the United States of America
register as a democrat… but just so I have access
to primary voting.
In this land touted for opportunity and freedoms
mostly, I find myself lamenting the choices
my government makes on my behalf.
I would not purposefully donate six percent
of my daily earnings
on drone bombing civilian Muslims
if it were up to me…
I would generally look to my own neighborhood
and those in the surrounding areas
when deciding where to offer my services and aid
as opposed to installing and maintaining
coup after coup on foreign soil…
Everyone I met who needed medical assistance
would have the ability to speak with a doctor
or at the very least a therapist…
My mind is so weary my body has become tired
watching my nation attempt to maintain empire
while the masses refuse to believe
that concept exists in the 21st century,
but for me, like a dagger in the eyeball
twisted and rusty, its
infecting me constantly with the reality
we are morons….
There is an adage I believe comes from the hillbilly’s
regarding one’s love for a land
and if the lack of that love shows itself,
then the individual must leave said land
well,
I have a second option:
You go………
You go to Iraq and wait for the drones
You go to Okinawa and get ***** by the American military
You go to any of the 600 places not in the United States
harboring military instillations of all types
You sit on the beach at Fukushima
while our advisors watch quietly the Pacific die.
Me, I will stay here
and see what I can learn from any still living
native peoples….

This drug consumes me
Night and day
I'm an addict in every way.
Just the thought of it in my presence
Loosens my nerves and
Drives away the tense.
I love it, I hate it.
What can I say?
It's all up to me to walk away.
Not as easy as it sounds
I can promise you that.
I have a mother and a brother
That will give you the facts.
Mother in prison most of my life,
Manufacturing methamphetamine
And she did her time.
Missing out on her family and kids
Is where she suffered most but
I'm glad she did.
Big brother of mine and
My best friend has been taken
By this same ****** up sin.
Not a day goes by that I don't
Think of him.
Everything is different now
Without him here but yet
I'm following those footsteps
That I truly fear.
This drug is a monster and it grabs
For your soul.
Ripping you limb from limb with
No control.
It changes people.
No matter what the cost,
We still go back when feeling lost.
Methamphetamine is my demon
But I have a soul that's ready
To leave him.
This journey has been a nightmare
With happiness at times.
Listen to my words for I do not lie.
