The son shut his eyes.
Words traveled slowly
Like dying stars wandering
Into dark corners of the night.

You were done - said your part
You saw the light,
Set yourself down on the
Frozen ground.

You hardened your heart
Said it looked better in stone
As you kept your eyes open to the flame.

battles come and go
you get wise through losing many

but each time is leading you somewhere
that 'somewhere'the being you 'now'

a little battered
but not 'dead yet '.

What became of Life
Where did i loose the way
How does it seem
That by words i am failed

Where had time gone
And does it mean
I may stay

time gallops faster and faster
unstoppable energy

a wave of eternity
on a breath of love.

How can I explain this mystery
Of the amazing grace that's changed the heart in me
All because of Christ and Christ alone

It's not who I am or what I've done
There's no hope for me in how I perform

There's a great chasm between that separates
The love of God from my mistakes

The arms held out on that shameful cross
Endured sins pain to endear the lost

In Christ I trust, in Christ I am
No great mystery in where I stand

Christ is life, that's all I need to know
Where I need to be is Christ alone

that when you smile
it's like a gift

living with death in your spectrum
