I found my art in the cold, dead sky
    Set my young life free
Reflected shadows draw my eye
To the guilt that follows me

Heir entitled,face unknown
    Collecting shattered bone
I'll steal, I lie and own the blood
    On grandeur carved in stone

So long now since that passing sky
Where true love I did part
And never will her memory
    With kindness grace my heart

Your lives are built on fleeting youth
    Your dreams confuse the way
Regret is misplaced ground you've stood
Each truth lies in the grey

I'd witness graveyards contemplate
In fire and through altered state
What length that I shall pass
But I'm the feeling you were watched
    Leaning in bent grass

This time of rain will ease someday
    A starry night will fall
To please my heart of revelry
    And wonderously enthrall

I will become the endless miles
    Pointed willfully
To deconstruct the traveled path
And pledge my love to thee
