Dear God tis heart thou to paint
Pure as dove without taint
As light bright through drops of rain
Hue of a rainbow thy covenant to gain

As violet tis life a fragrant flower
As Indigo with thee the colour of power
As blue by thy heart to be generous as sky
As green as nature thy heavenly abode nigh
As yellow as sun thy warmth of mercy every dawn
As orange positive thy love never withdrawn

As red as blood thy sacrifice on cross a new covenant born
