“Jump into the water.”

But I didn’t,
For how do I swim?

“You’ll be fine.”

Will I be fine,
Will you jump in to save me?

“Of course, silly.”

And I trusted,
So I had jumped.

But instead of warmth I felt cold.
I was being pulled.
Not towards air,
But below,
Down,
Low.

The last thing I had,
Was a Cold Embrace,
From the thing I feared,
How unsettling,
For me.
