LINGER
LINGER
As I wipe the tears from my eyes
Using only a swipe of my finger
It’s looks like a storm has arrived
And it seems this one will linger
There’s a heartache in the song
Hear the emotion of the singer
Nazareth words were true, love hurts
Hear the voice echo and linger
I always follow my heart
You know I’ve never been a thinker
Now my thoughts are overwhelming
And they continue to linger
Where did we go wrong is the question
As the song comes through my speakers
With my windows open my pain is
Releasing In the atmosphere to linger
Now I know why men drink but
I’ve never been much of a drinker
I don’t think I’ll ever get over you
This darkness is gonna LINGER
