Darkness isn't scary; fear needs a little light
To scare you, she needs a gloomy sight.
She needs zombies; she needs a scary ghost.
In darkness, fear—that *****—is scared most.

In holy darkness, fear runs for her life;
Without eating light, she cannot stay alive.
In the darkness, we can see the other world,
Where fear is gone and hope is running wild.

Fear ain't stupid; that ***** is smart,
So she stops us from embracing the dark.
If you see fear lurking in your darkest night,
It's not pure—the night still has a little light.
