Relentless Rebel

When there’s a dark past of alcohol
Abuse,chaos, violence and flashing lights
Mental problems and self hate
And dysfunctional family fights

As a teenager you tend to fight back
Out of desperation and need
But you’ll never be able to avenge
All the blood you had to bleed

You become a relentless rebel
You’ve got a troubled soul
You have anger issues and
You turn to drugs and Rock & Roll

You spend a lot of time as a loner
Like a survivalist in the woods
Love comes into your life but
Unfortunately you’re damaged goods

Then one day God sends you an Angel
And there’s a fading of the words of steel
And soon after you notice the same of the
Scars you thought would never heal

Today you have the love of Jesus and
You’ve torn up the contract with the Devil
You leave your past behind but there’s
Still a trace of the Relentless Rebel
