Separate Ways
Separate Ways
Was it all just wasted time
Everything that we’ve been through
Once together now worlds apart
Our hearts broken In two
Was our love like teenage puberty
Just an awkward passing phase
Leaving behind our love to memories
And going our separate ways
How did we get to where we are
What happened to the passion and desire
Once there was spark for the flame
Now there’s no fuel for the fire
Our lives had a future so bright
Full of promise, forever and always
Now the journey is in shadow & darkness
As we go our separate ways
Don’t you remember how we touched
Those hand holding morning walks
And our sleepless nights killing time
With laughter and bedroom talks
The world that was once filled with
Color is now just shades of gray’s
I’m lost without direction
Now we’ve went our Separate Ways
