Margaret Gorman,        the first Miss America
will always be to me    the best Miss America;
not the most beautiful - that would be Lee Meriwether
& Vanessa Williams & Savvy
Shields; but lists of beautiful women grow tiresome; -
beauty is not a statistic:          [just the first to set the
precedent   that a cute                    girl in a swimsuit
(in those days they work undershorts
& stockings & sandals [Margaret wore
Roman sandals  w/ expensive French stockings                  in 1921-22
when receiving
what in those days
was called     the Loving Cup (an actual silver  cup);
equal to the        Laurel Crown & Gold Medal:
which reflect the Tiara & Scepter of Royalty;
but more royal, given roses instead of a weapon;
a jeweled tiara so there won't be any real power
besides monetary value: [still in all,  should the Queen ask
for a head she will duly   receive it: it is the one command,
somewhat like nuclear codes which the Queen
     of all worlds can give which must be obeyed by her loyal subjects:

so, into this moral-existential       breach
flies the super heroine -         supermodel-
      Supergirl - somebody's little girl- [like Saint Joan]              to fill
the role of conquering hero: [Saint Joan paved the way for napoleon - but ****** was into **** - way too gay, hateful, killing Geli & Eva like dogs: Leni was lucky she had a good heart & the Allies let her skate: a true artist -
I follow her; follow me; she defeated ugliness
                                               & conquered Beauty:
it's   more complex than that - she defeated Death
&       wears Beauty as Death's timeless immortal skin
