when biting autumnal breeze

sweeps past these craggy rocks

its howling whispers - seducing;

sparing no thought of mercy --

blinking lights on distant shore

pontooned my heaving heart

across dark "brewding" waters,

astride bland but porous sky

billowy clouds float aimlessly by
