While the world can preach
of greater pain
and complain of shallow hearts
that never look out of themselves.
They never see the the windows of their heart
that were nailed shut
from outside.
When im around you my knees get weak my stomach hurts I can hardly breathe fluttering butterfly's when you touch my skin I get goosebumps when you kiss my flesh electricity runs through my veins you're my weakness yet my strength I wish you could see the one you're looking for is me
The thing we poets have all been at before.
The thing that takes our creativity and throws It out the window.
The thing that disables us from saying what we truly mean.
Yet we always find a way.
I’ve been on writer’s block lately, so I got the idea to write a poem about
writer’s block, we all have been there before so I figured it would be a easy poem
to connect to, And as always, Don’t forget to tell me what you think!

I am again...

Caught
              in the then and now.

Blind footfalls
              on the treadmill of life.

With a head
              filled with thoughts
              hands full of nothing
and a heart full of porcelain.

Glimpses of the past
captured in shots.

Much to relish and savour.
Much to learn from.

But they flash by
all too quickly.

If I could,
these still frames
I’d tessellate haphazardly;
for they never came in sequence.

Then I’d pan out to see
a view of a wall...

Towering to the heavens
as high as my vision could reach,
spanning the horizon
as far as my head could turn.

I peer
but with naked eyes,
a busy mosaic
of my history
told in sepia.
