i could feel
your eyes
burning
into my soul
he always stares at me when I’m doing my assigned job at work
girls are like the sun
always shining so bright
their smiles so soft and warm

boys are like the moon
so dark and mysterious
they hide in the shadows
of the night

together in the same universe
the sun and the moon will
one day collide
idk what this is
she was poetry
but he hated
to read
why doesn’t he like meeee
i watched as you lay with me
on an afternoon in the sun
your hair danced in the last summer breath
your eyes were closed, a smile blessed
your soft warm lips.
the ones i longed to kiss.
let me write beautiful poetry
onto your skin with my lips

each kiss represents my words
my lips represent the pen and
your body as my paper

let me create something
so beautiful with you
I want him to be mine

a livid whirl
between love is a family’s rage -
a mother who’s full of spite
a father who’s mindset can’t be replaced
so close, yet so far from love
i rip out my curls - her own thoughts
are contaminated with these ideas of hate
the thought of what could be only
tears me apart and drives me insane

seventeen years of age
her smile reminds
me of my mothers face -
a springtime swirl
green leaves dancing in the rain
a light drizzle, softening all
of life’s struggles and pain

A flight away,
oceans apart,
video calls everyday,
pumping my heart,
but
trust & issues,
are similar to tumours,
countless tissues,
shunning rumours,
however
you did not cause this pain,
i did this to myself,
the idea of you with someone else is grain,
you’re not good for my health
my first heartbreak
