like the blunt
dangling from his lips
he lit me up
when he needed to numb the pain
and tossed me out
with the other roaches
when there was nothing left to take

I have a boat,
Two paddles
And a sail.
This sack of grub
Will keep me sated for days.
Every tool needed,
Available for escape.
Should have started a venture
But I decided to stay.
These uncharted waters
Require an immense amount of faith.
But what if I left it unconsciously a long time ago
When I tried to get away?

I may have all the time
To rebuild no matter what the cost
But the one thing I can never fix
Is a heart that is forever lost.
Traumatized.

The Dybbuk
If I could, learn to do,
How to do things right by you,
I would do about anything.
I might even learn how to love.
If I could, begin to be,
A fraction of the bad you see,
I might do about anything,
But never learn how to love.
If I could, turn and say,
Something that'd make us okay,
I would say about anything,
But first of all I'd say that I love,
You.
Lyrics to a brief song. Private message me if you want to hear the tune.

Sometimes you have no reason to stay,
and realize that's a perfect argument to go.
And that taking an entirely new way,
is the sore but single method to grow.

If you're washed-on abeyance's bight,
and you feel decision's heavy heft:
To choose the left where nothing's right,
or go to the right where nothing's left.

Remember it matters not where you proceed,
or which mountain you want to ascend.
It does not matter whether you succeed,
it is the journey that matters in the end.
