We walked through the grass like two ships in the tide
our hearts were laid open we both saw inside
Time slowed right down we had nowhere to go
except to each other's soul just to feel the love flow

In my heart
and in my mind
look on in
and you will find
for what you'll see
only joy
that comes to me
when you look
when you speak
when you smile
you set me free

We both headed home as the sun headed down
back to our homes in the quiet old town
I think that tomorrow We'll come here once more
We might not have money but with your love I'm never poor

In my heart
and in my mind
look on in
and you will find
for what you'll see
only joy
that comes to me
when you look
when you speak
when you smile
you set me free
oh, and you can sing this to a leonard Cohen tune..

Owain ap Grufydd Fychan last of your kind
betrayed by the King that you once stood behind
though you faded at last into mountains and mist
on the slopes of Er Eryri you  stll exist
More to this man than the easy name Owen Glendower in Henry IV {part 1}

Pasties and poo,what a mix.
Taste much better than weetabix.
Trouble is, it sort of sticks.
To my teeth and my plate.
But it still tastes great!
Mum says the poo is a kind of salami,
I think my Mum is completely barmy!
Another one for the Wee ones group!

Patches you sound like the biggest yet
If I get to see you I'll never forget
your mom says you are about turkey-size
I know wee Lily and she doesn't tell lies
How the hell does she sleep at night
when for a snuggle all six cats fight
poor thing she must need a reinforced bed
six feisty cats that some would dread
but be kind to your Mommy please Patches the cat
lie down  careful or you'll squash Lily flat.....

Each breath you take I know you fight so hard
I watch you struggle just to walk a yard
the desperation lingers in your eyes
my only sweet my wee pearl of the skies

There's a pebble on my table,
it's rocking too and fro.
I think there is something inside it,
I'd really like to know!
Is it a monkey, a deer or a dog?
Or is it a crocodile, big as a log?
Whenever it moves I have to shout.
"Stop that rocking, please come out!"
Wow, now it's cracking, I almost can see it,
I'll get a wee stick and try to help free it!
Shh here it comes, aww isn't it sweet,
a wee baby rabbit, all snuggled asleep.

Phelisa was a fairy child
of bluebell stock so meek and mild
but in her heart burned flames and fire
fly into danger her desire

once old enough to learn her trade
an uneasy truce with her queen was made
ten years of duty then she is free
to choose her own true destiny

Phelisa born with eyes of fire
outflies the wind no bird flies higher
bravest of all none can compare
Phelisa you must have a care

Be careful watch your little ones
take every day just as it comes
one day the call will come to you
till then protect as we all do

Sweet human children in their beds
hover at their little heads
watching waiting keep them safe
every little human waif

What dreams a Fairy keeps within her flower-soul
and when a warrior small but splendid fair
does not hold watching weans a noble goal
spends hours adding feathers to her hair
so when she flies to battle forces grim
her visage such a terrifying sight
her countenance conveys the chances slim
that any evil will survive the fight

Phelisa where do you go?

Dreams on noble strife and deeds
draw you away to the woods,
but the child you watch is threatened
by a man who means no good

Phelisa drifted to the nursery window, tired from swinging her wee silver sword all day.
Practising her craft with the agile birds and fencing with her friends the falcons.
She was puzzled at the windows edge, she could not understand why the cot was tumbled to the floor, and why the dog howled so.
Then she smelled them, baby cries in the air, hot and sweet and frightened.
And something else Mother was cold afraid.
She cast desperately around the cottage, no sight or sound, but the smell led into the summer evening, mixed with car-smell.
Follow then, if you can little one and help you wee charge.

"I get what I want, or the baby gets hurt..."
Evil swine, all these years hiding and he found her still,
dragged them to the little Austin Seven and drove them to the middle of nowhere.
A quiet wood where noone will disturb them.
Stood there now, screaming baby in his foul fists, eyes full of lust and excitement.
He pulled them towards a small cliff, do what He wants and the child may live, all she could think off, don't and he throws the baby over the edge.
He runs on with them, but frowning, what is this at his feet, the  brown of animals, small warm things keeping pace?
As they run they crush in, making him stumble, making him afraid.
He quickens his pace, strikes out, God they are everywhere get away!
He drops the child and throws the mother to the ground.
Running for his life now, running as  hares and rabbits and foxes swarm around his legs and make him fall over the drop, to his death.

Phelisa comes as the Austin drives  away
Too late to help her features pale and grey
She understands the debt she owes this wood
And makes a vow for its eternal good

Whatever good you did today
I will a thousand times repay
nothing will enter in this wood
that does not come with dreams of good

No beasts each other here will slay
tooth and claw you each will stay
within the confines of these trees
all will live in care and ease

And I will stay with you all here
keep you free from strife and fear
to guard you for the deed of grace
when I was slow and failed the chase

In the rocks at the foot of the drop
evil dwelt
torn faced weasel, twisted and old
Mad man's spirit drawn inside
growing together in their poisoned hate
the loathing of life and love pure
biding its time

For nigh-on thirty years or more
peace reigned upon the woodland floor
beasts walked in fearless glades and rides
no need from tooth and claw to hide
but on one spring day all was fear
Phelisa why are you not near?
Flying out too far this day
following falcons she wants to play
The evil weasel it takes its chance
will lead phelisa a hellish dance

Running into the wood so sweet
pattering horde of weasel feet
heading to hunt and drag away
something small and sweet today
a baby hare they corner at last
he tries to run but cant get past
The Beast with relish starts to whet
his appetite on this leveret
Carry him back then to your lair
frightened meat will taste so fair
down with us among the stones
all we leave will be his bones

Our fairy comes and sees the scene
the fright and fear where they have been
Her vow she has to still uphold
or die as she tries it to uphold

Racing to the weasel's den
at the dark place of the glen
sees the last one running in
sees the hatred and their sin

But at the entrance of the burrow
her fire eyes dim and smooth brows furrow
the weasel entrance is so slim
her Fairy wings won't let her in
But in her burns a fire so bright
nothing will deter her fight
so kneeling in pain she softly sings
as mother -hare bits off her wings

In the deep dark dread is there
terror of the little hare
evil circles all around
forcing it down to the ground
but as the teeth are reaching out
hear the smallest hero shout

"No blood will spill of this sweet thing
my spear and sword and heart I bring
I gladly give my life today
to see this young hare run away"

srtiking silver blade of light
held with all her strength and might
Arthur himself or Great Glyndwr
would not have swung their blades the truer
battles hard and battles dread
blood and bites and screeching dead
all the time she fights them back
not one gets past with its attack
then only one is waiting still
the evil spirit hard to ****
her fairy blood runs down her hair
blurs the fairy face so fair
" You tire and I will **** you soon,"
the weasel spoke an evil tune
But fairy strength is hard judge
and this wee one did bear a grudge
"You took my baby in the past
I failed to reach him flying fast
was not enough but creatures here
they rescued him from pain and fear.
Now I repay them with this life
and cut you with my silver knife
my spear of dandelion form
I plunge into your deadly form
my wings I lost to pay this debt
the ****** back I feel the wet
The pain I carry will all pale
as your foul heart I do impale!"

Her deed was done her battle won
returned the frightened hare's wee son
so proud and fierce a Fairy Queen
The bravest one the world has seen

Epilogue

The terrier and the Rotteweiler were in a frenzy
running wild, tearing at the sheep in a passion of hate
Then the scent of fresh young blood a child
racing over towards the sleeping parents and the wandering baby
the terrier got ahead straining for first blood
Then whispering voices
Tumbling sky flowers pain and blood stillness
Puzzled as it died fairies small and winged crowded its corpse
Blood dripped from their spears.
The Rottweiler drew close, ready to tear them all apart.
Behind them was a hare, armoured with wood and gold, spikes of silver armour, a Fairy Queens gift.
Astride it, scarred-faced and wingless, the old wise fairy sat smiling.
" Stand aside ladies, this one is mine...."

Off to the park a picnic yeah
three women a wean
and a man who don't scare
well not too easily...
as long as the swings
don't make him queasily
up the slide ok wee girl
she's gonna fall my toes all curl
nope she seems to have it dialled
little hurricane dynamo child
then the swings
for about12 seconds
three turns on the roundabout
maybe less I reckon
then back to the slide
God I am puffed
hasn't the wee girl had enough?
Ok I grab achicken roll
two bites its in a muddy hole
this picnic is turning out to be
endurance playing for Jeremy
tried the kids swing I got jammed
like wearing steel Y-fronts
my privates were crammed
ok so it was all my choice
I say in a funny high-pitched voice
"Jesus go up" I am told so I go
Only she calls me that now you know
where she got it who can guess
got an idea won't confess
(better than being a skinny Welsh Tw*t)
starting to flag like I smoked a ***
need an emergency sicky bag
go home soon and lie down quick
after picnic and playing I am quite sick
Smoking a *** in Scotland means lighting a cigarette, and I don't do that either, so boring a chap, me!

I saw a dinosaur today,
his scales were pink!
Perhaps he's gay?
His claws were big,
His teeth were whoppers.
And his *** was firing party poppers.

Eating food is an easy thing?
Smug you shovel your food in!
Some of us are not so sure
eating for me has many a flaw
un-plug the oven, my chicken stays raw
could write you many a touching ballad
of how I tripped and fell in the salad
fell asleep when I was pooped
slumped into the bowl of soup
just was a complete disgrace
hot pizza stuck to my pale face
sitting here mouth is stinging
laughter soon I will hear ringing
got to dash, think I broke my leg
thought it was safe to boil an egg.
Here it comes, Tracey, by the way, my friend died sniffing powdered egg...

choked on his own omelette.....sorry..

Ate so much it has to come out
belly ache makes me whinge and shout
try to be quiet, bite my tongue
like I closed my *** up with a ****.
I've Got to get rid of this pain
so I can eat some more again
strain as fiercly as I can
spladoosh! I bust the ****** pan!
A tidal wave is swirling round
knocking buildings to the ground
gossips whisper"have you heard?"
Jeremy did that with his ****!

Poor wee cat lost in the dirt
trodden on when wee and hurt
lived on worms and ***** things
insects crawlies all with wings
you fell lucky furry boy
found a family full of joy
hunted you until they won
took you in for love and fun
now you weigh a lot of pounds
your belly drags along the ground
but such a baby you're so sweet
rubbing all around our feet
"Dry me off then put some food
in my dish please don't be rude!"
I have to say that in my mind
a cuter moggie can't be found
If am born next as a cat
I'll be like Wilson soft and fat!

When I stand before wild waters
in the early morning sun
I imagine your reflection
and what we could become
if the wind beats hard against me
if I feel the thunder roar
I will not flinch nor turn away
my resolution all the more
no lies or fears no doubts of man
will live beneath your gaze
sweet power of life eternal
until the ending of our days

giving strength for when I weaken
one hand that holds me fast
when I'm feeling broken
one finger prowing to my soul
like a whole book spoken
for all the love and kindness
these lines are my wee token

Amber eyes and fleet of foot
on these moors a spirit put
born to run for runnings sake
nothing will her brave stride break
distance all the fastest hounds
queen of green she skims the ground
fears no clutching claw or beak
high among her purple peaks
a gentle creature hurting none
as blessed to see as winter sun
in her proud eyes freedom holds
beneath her feet her world unfolds

The Queen of the Tundra stands her ground
mounted on caribou formorians all around
glacier cool she watches with crystal eyes
as her snowflakes answer her call to the skies
Adventurers or fools what brought them here
insidious and evil an empire they would rear
The Queen of the Tundra stood her ground
sword stained  enemies cold on the ground
if you go to her realm hide from  her gaze
Queen of the Tundra till the end of days.

You were smiling in my heart today
quiet eyes spilling hints of your light
the footsteps you took left white jewels
as snowdrops arose with your passing
your soft calm soothed my fears
all things comes to pass and time cures all
the brush of your hand brings hope and new life
makes spirits soar repairs the hurt
your face will ever be beyond my touch
like the hares that dance at your feet
joyful as you herald the coming spring

Crunching over the surface,
the bold warriors go
wave after wave of custard
will not fill the men with woe
rhubarb in abundance
doesn't slacken their resolve
any sprinkled sugar
with their sweat they will dissolve
though relentlessly they battle on,
the end it will come soon
"for heaven's sake men,mind the ****** spoon......."
This is making me crave a pudding, all I have is jaffa cakes and scots pancakes (mouldy) I need a woman to shop for me..

Catch her if you can
but do you need
to marr this beast
of grace and speed
no call to hurt or bother her
on the purple moor
left alone
the right to roam
then springtime calls her down
to run and box
and come so close
as playful as a clown

Robert of Callander

Robert of Callander
the time it has come
for you to take flight
but where will you run..
~*~
"Come south" breathes the southern breeze
soft whispers in the trembling trees
"whatever are your deeds and crimes
take refuge in my warmer climes"

The east wind countered with a gust
"my way will save you come you must
bear my cold and feel my blast
and I will hide you till the last"

The west wind from the ocean blew
"come out to me my word is true
and out amongst the rocky isles
I'll hide your guilt and life so vile.."

The Northern Wind did ponder long
then gave it's thoughtful blast of song
"Journey to my mountains dread
your crimes has left so many dead"

"my welcome here of stone and cold
lost soul in my srong hand I'll hold
the time for you to pay is nigh
head north into my hills so high"

And north Black Robert chose to go
with tense remorse and full of woe
up into heather wind and rain
never was he seen again

But on the ***** of steep Ben Loyal
you'll find a hidden rocky mound
to reach it takes some sweat and toil
and there Black Robert may be found

I've noone there to give flowers to I'm a solitary man

Warm as soil beneath spring sun
banishing memories of januarys frost
time has not dulled your light
my skin heals
my scars soften
your flowers bloom again each spring
as nesting birds begin to sing
Roses grow within you
Birds are singing outside our windowon a beautiful morning. Nests are being repared and the plants are flexing themselves

The Queen of Winter looked about,
tinged with sorrow, touched by doubt.
The time of change was in the air,
a keen smell dancing through her hair.
Springtimes breath should fill her dreams,
casting spells of summers peace,
as with her court she, serene sleeps,
awaiting on autumns counsel fair.

But troubled now, her gaze is sharp,
what things are come forth from the dark.
Drawn uncalled by winters cold,
things unholy, things too old.
Prowling in the biting frost,
preying on unwary lost.

"there is a way," she says to all,
"to reawaken springs fair call.
I need a braveheart, strong and true,
to carry springtimes promise through!"
None spoke, none moved, all-fearing stood,
then from beneath Her throne of wood,
"I'll go."

And there was an unlooked for guest,
a small young Hare to take the quest,
And she remembered then his face,
beneath last years fall of  leaves.
A little leverett, bereft, born too late,
so sadly left, but seen by chance.
Compassion in the great ones glance.

Set free to tumble in the spring,
to run and dance, and dream and sing.
But wise to evils coming threat,
returned to pay his debt.

"I'll carry springtimes welcome song,
my eyes are bright, my legs are strong,
and though I know you dread I'll fail,
a faithful heart can but prevail!"

A speech of such unwitting grace,
that tears did stain the lady's face.

"So little one, you made a choice,
how gentle is your sweet young voice,
and I instill my strength and love,
to bear your burden far.
And if you fall, the world will know,
my tears of ice will stain the snow."

A little bag of felt was made,
new boots of doeskin,
laced and tied,
a cap to cover well his head,
and then the time,
to face the dread.

"Into this bag I place the spring,
no feather weight, no little thing,
though sadness wishes you could tarry,
this burden forth we ask you carry."
And so with spells of love and care,
out into winter sped our hare.

Through the secret postern gate,
into unremitting hate,
dreading not the rising fear,
but only that the spring was late.

Trotting lightly over snow,
the little lad did boldly go,
leaving lightest prints  behind,
nothing for the Beasts to find.
But, stirring in the darker woods,
creatures of despair still stood.

Crawling, stooping, no poise or grace,
evil made a start to chase,
our little hare, who, so well aware,
kept a steady pace.

Beasts of the pit, deep in the earth,
smother life with their dark curse,
drawn to light to look askance,
hating their own long lost chance.

Breaking through and into sight,
using all the darkest might,
straining fibre, blood and bone
to **** our little hare.

Dancing, swerving, to and fro,
Is he caught? Ah through, now go!
How can one so slim and small,
battle evil spirits tall?
But, from towers far above,
flows an ancient, caring love.

Sending creatures of the woods,
fight the evil with their good,
crows and eagles, claws and beaks,
wolves and foxes, strength and teeth.
Fighting now for what they chased,
and grateful for his speed unceased.

" Pass beyond us, little hare,
and we will turn and, face the stare!
Whatever evil comes to pass,
we dream of springtimes fragrant grass"

So captains of the wood as one,
stand together as they come,
though many fall not to arise,
they battled evils changing guise.
None pass unmissed, she sees them fall,
The Ice Queen marks their everyfall.

The breathless runner toils anew,
oh can he take this burden through?
the night is falling dark and fast,
and still dark forces  are amassed.

New foes astir, claw at his feet,
sharp teeth snap, and call deceit,
arms of knotted sinew strain,
to clutch, to grasp, but still in vain!
Our little hero runs so swift,
at each new threat his own pace lifts.

Cut and wounded by the beasts,
ragged ears, and bleeding feet,
nothing slows the running hare,
"come, you catch me if you dare!"
he gasps beneath a fell  beasts stare...

Then, coming slowly into view,
a wondrous sight, and hope anew,
a woodland tinged with shades of green,
could this be spring, will he get through?

And now the Green Man of the spring,
sees the chase and starts to sing,
"Come all my peoples of warm earth,
we'll war these beasts of death and dearth!"
Flashing eyes, and racing foes,
to battle now for good they  go.

Now at the Green Mans feet hare lies,
the light now fading from his eyes,
his burden passed to hands of care,
all gaze with wonder, little hare!
His duty done, his race is run,
it's now his time to die.

But from afar, a Snow Maids call,
"this once, Man listen to my call,
I'll ask of you no other thing,
than heal this creature, let us sing!"

Together, distant words that heal,
renew the turning of lifes wheel,
The young hare races, where he will,
Watch, and you'll see him, running still.
Sorry this is so long, it is a wee story written in my head many years ago. The little hare is self tattoed on my thigh (poorly) and I had a nice paining  done, but gave it away.  Painted a little version on a bucket today, and got all wistful about brave little animals. This little chap saved spring for us!

There's a Scaredysaurus in front of me,
trying to hide in an apple tree.
Watching him is so much fun,
each of his feet must weigh a ton!
Now he is up, whoops! Now he is not,
fell down and landed on his bott.
I'll go and see that he's not hurt,
wipe his nose and clear the dirt.
Then, forget that apple tree.
Scaredysaurus, come home with me!

Scorned by pew browned elders stare
stand calm before their face
they know not of the power you bare
for the  good of all your race
fool's barriers to light and love
is what they want to build
to control the people from above
and have the wise folk killed
women in the huts and crofts
ancient wisdoms ways
scent of healing carried aloft
before persecuters gaze
but life and love still bring them back
their wisdom shall return
for every wise one they attacked
and as a witch they burned

She lies still her eyes so black
confusion whispers under her breath
she is trying to will the cobwebs away
while memories blister dry and fade

"Are you my husband?" for the third time this shift
breathing quietly I stand and speak
tell he is long dead and gone
honesty counts when all is said and done

Will she cry out loud this time and yell
an angry shout for the truth I tell
she ponders with a relieved smile
"I'm glad" she says "the ******* gave me fifty years of hell"

Shelter me
            from all that I am
what I try to be
I tried to shelter you
wash the blood and muck
from your hurt thighs
read you a kid's book
while you tried to sleep
in the bath too afraid
***** soiled wee scrap
we couldn't get you clean
cut your head where they
***** you over the wall
your blonde hair
stuck to the tiles
you made me cut it off
so I shaved my head
to be ugly with you
shared an overdose
tricked you
your half was
just beta-blockers
you tried to comfort me
share our pain
slept in bed with me
like you were
a proper mum
with your hurt
arms around me
till you crawled
out to find
the boyfriend
with his drugs
I could never shelter you
from what you were
life and light
grey-faded
shrink in with me
let us share this grave
of soiled hope and
anguished dreams
my wee rough pal
the first one
in the world to say
that you loved me
you wrote it
on my arm for hospital
they thought you were
my daughter I
wished you were
prayed for angels
to shelter you
like you tried
to shelter me
that night
we failed each other

Shepherd's Song

A flower in winter
the sun in the grey
you light up the glen
when you're coming this way
at the back of the flock
with a staff in your hand
I've never seen anything
nearly as grand

And you with a lamb
tucked under your arm
could any man say
he has seen greater charm
I speak from my heart
lass I truly confess
with your every stride
My life you do bless

She waits at the gate at each midday
with a gentle smile as we walk through
watching the children at their play
the way she once watched me and you
how many years as she faded to grey
was she calling to him from afar
standing and waiting there day after day
knowing he fell in that distant war
She lay at the gate one bleak midday
cold in the mud alone they say
she died at the gate one cold midday
but her face wore a smile as she passed away

What do you see on the shore of the sea
is it faces of those who are gone?
Or just the grey skies and powerful lies
and the terrible deeds that were done

What do you hear on the shore of the sea
memories of injustice and wrongs?
Carried away by the spume and the spray
now just echoes of their final song

I stand at the shore of the grey heaving sea
hearing the words of the past
amongst the cold waves I can see distant graves
of the ones who stayed true to the last

Should I....

I struggle to write now those poems not deep
something shallow and empty that won't make you weep
am I too intense maybe over the top
I've not got a clue perhaps I should stop

Just have so much pleasure when putting stuff down
leaves me feeling good and takes off my sad frown
just words from the heart off  a ***** Welsh fool
whose heart feels it's had a great kick from a mule

Should I ever die, what would miss me and why?
Places, faces, things that dwell.
Creatures of heaven, beasts of hell?

Strangers passing in the street, see me lying at their feet.
Glancing as they move around,
the shadow lying on the ground.

Melt a man-shape in the ice, frozen solid in a trice,
blur as one a sculpture set,
solid ice, a mans regret.

Got some hair upon my head
looks ok some girls have said
but if I stoop or look right down
wallop my bright gleaming crown!
A heli landing pad she says
and laughs at my next grumpy gaze
well knit me a wig, or maybe a hat
or cover it with a piece of mat!
We do felt making that could work
no I would look a ruddy berk....
Colour it in with a magic marker
do my grey so I go darker
Stop it all I've had enough
hirsutism proving way to tough
stick with what is clinging on
enjoy what's left before it's gone!

dream of a love that is pure and true
while I sit watching over you

She just typed me a message
"Sleep now!"
So I will
She knows I am worried about tomorrow
should I go to Church or keep some distance
and I know she will say a wee prayer that I am ok
maybe mention it to her old man
"That plonker is worrying himself sick again!"
So to bed I go with a backbone injection
and I know that if I suffer from rejection
it is not the right Chuch for me
the Girls say,
God or Gods, they are in our hearts
not in dvds and collection baskets
We'll see what tomorrow brings..

Slipstreams of Angels

Without your smile I cannot fly
Without your touch I cannot cry
but beneath your gaze I soar with joy
and rising draughts of love draw forth
the courage now to love and rise
resplendent in the shining skies
and then together we will watch
and stretch our hands to try to touch
the passing grace we honour so
great lights that shine on hearts below
Slipstreams of angels undertake
to draw we lovers in their wake

Tomorrow comes to quick these days
whizzing, sprinting through my gaze
as the years go rushing by
slow down, I'm worried that I'll die.
I'll miss things that are yet to be
I want to live? Is that really me?
"******* you cheeky liar
we got the wood for your funeral pyre!
All the times you tried to leave
last rites made us start to grieve
then you recovered in a trice
put the burial on ice."
nearly went in the big french crash
on my head oh, what a smash
lost my memories for a bit
can't spot my friends, makes me feel ****
drunk bad stuff, burnt inside
still got a grin a half mile wide
set on fire for fun while fishing
"An extinguisher!" I was wishing
loads of pills, ergotomine too
saw bad things from satan's zoo
tunnel of light like in the movies
got sent back, yeah really groovy
ICU with all false names
never knew me, good at that game
now there's stuff I need to do
people help me to pull through
so think I'll try and stick around
not go six feet beneath the ground
This poem made me happy!

The soft green calls quietly
lie in me......lie with me
hear the burn sing breath and sigh
as sweet summer waters brush on by

The cold of the winter
the warm hope of May
the burn that flows steady
bringing colour to grey

So we'll lie in the grass
and we'll sleep in the ferns
and we'll join in the song
of the sweet Kennick Burn

Something big is stalking me,
been on my trail since half- past three.
Wonder if it thinks  I'm dinner,
boy I wish that I was thinner.

Velociraptor or dinonychus,
please don't come and make a fuss.
If I end up in your tummy,
you'll find that I am far from yummy!

Now the footsteps seem quite loud,
wish that I was in a crowd.
I hope it eats me really quick,
and then I'll make it feel quite sick!

Need to see the Hare once more
tell it how my heart is sore
need to see him running free
taking cares away from me
his dreams run with mine far away
take me through another day
wisdom in that ancient glance
speeding freedom life and chance
look through me knowing eyes
only truth you know no lies
the time for hares to dance is here
the joy of spring is coming near
you carry the sun and share it's light
bring hope for the springtime
into winter's sight

Spring's dreaming rush unfolds before my eyes
unlooked for light and life's hope all renewed
eager shoots that set their faces to the skies
We strive to climb that bonds may be eschewed

Walk hand-in-hand amongst the breathing green
I begin to grow anew in spring's fresh light
and if I only flourish for a while
I have had a glimpse of something true and bright

Spurned, spurned
my fingers burned
all these years
nothing learned
caught out when
my back was turned
yet again my
stomach churned
all this treatment
was it earned?
All I did was
touch your belly
now I'm shaking
legs of jelly
got a smack
in the chops
sore face
tear drops
got my head
in a whirl
thank God you're
a cat and
not a girl!
jeremy wyatt Jan 2011
Crying on the phone
tears cross short miles to stain my face
desperate, desolate
loved but not valued
carrying her family
forward with her love and her heart
when will the tide turn
when will they say
"Mum are you ok?"
I say I love you, They love you
they just don't show it or
do what you need to breathe and soar
How is it women can cry so often,
and cry so hard without just dying
That despair would **** me
this despair might

I thought of  you out
in the cold woods tonight
the clouds hid us all from
the silver moonlight
we saw the white flowers
and we felt the sweet air
met with nights powers
with a feeling so fair
did you think as you stood
in the silver and grey
we were standing beside you
an ocean away
For Lily Mae on her full-moon walk x

I could jump out of a plane
and land on my head
in a foam factory
I'll never be dead
tried and tried
accidents to
but I still it seems
I' m here with you.
fall off bikes
get quite sicky
hurt I like
any kind, not picky
What the chance
I am immortal
never falling through that portal
giving trying life a chance
going well
for one last dance
what the hell lies in the future
keep the needles for the suture
savlon bandages and glue
self repair is what I do
time to try and find a life
others battle through their strife
time to get a bit reflective
friends put my ills into perspective
such a selfish little mite
I'm self obsessed and full of *****
will struggle forward day by day
no I am fooling, you all say
probably, I give you that
she said I am a ***** ****
the one reason that I am left
I cannot leave folks all bereft
for now I mean to stick around
and not at six feet underground
so if upon the ground I lie
check my pulse as you pass by
be like a nurse upon a mission
stick me in the recovery position!

I'm the happiest today that I've been in years
with a smile that stretches between both ears
don't quite know what's taking place
why am I so full of grace?
Got this ****** stupid grin
like a granny full of gin
want to hug my enemies
got none, sod it, hug the trees
got good news about my friends
tribulations at an end?
had so sweet a day of love
angels must be close above
waiting for things to go wrong
like a *** note in a song
perhaps a car will run me down
Christ I bet I'd wear a frown!
maybe hug a ****** killer
like a baddie in a thriller
pick axe through my happy skull
wouldn't notice I'm so dull
my face is like a happy elf
as if I've been touching myself
don't worry that is not my style
'cos God says *******'s vile
I'll settle for this pleasant feeling
it's so amazing leaves me reeling
friday might not match my mood
what if I am grumpy, start to brood?
So try to keep this jolly face
keep spouting poetry apace
soon enough I'll be back down
I'm just a sad depressive clown...:O)
