you were a network
of supernovas and stardust,
bound together by light.
you would glow, baby,
and your light burned
through the velvet sky.

it's so easy to forget that
in the game of life
we are ephemeral.

it's so easy to forget that
galaxies die too.

it's so easy to forget that
light lives for eons
after a star's death.
i don't know precisely when or how hannah committed suicide, and i don't want to, but it was around this time last year.

Lunar lovers, under covers,
dream of mice and men.

Solar brothers, burning others,
have yet to ever sin.

It's sad how i keep writing
poems about love

Yet picture no one's face
while writing them.

It's not you
It's not me
It's us.

lovely silence brushes over me
in ribbons of forgotten promises
and the wrong kind
of contentment
and though i didn't want it to rain
because the first drop
that fell on my cheek
made me
homesick.

i looked up at the clouds
and asked them
silently
if they have seen
where i
live.

the sky roared in reply
and i kept
wondering
how to decipher
it.

I am Hamlet
to be or not to be
I am Hamlet
that is the question
I am Hamlet
to live or not to live
I am Hamlet
that is the question
I am Hamlet
to commit life's greatest
woe upon thyself
I am Hamlet
that is the question
I am Hamlet
to take one's own life
I am Hamlet
...that is the question
