Where is the pianist in me
Where is the overly-enthusiastic musician
Who'd pick up any lyrics
And make it into a song.

Where did I lose my words
Where did I lose my will to write
Where did I lose my courage
To cry my heart out on a piece of paper
And bleed my fingers on a guitar-string.

Where did I lose my random scribbles
Where did I lose my unabashed thoughts
Which I would often lash out on empty canvases.

When did my creative block
Turn me into a mechanical machine
And make me forget that
My right brain works better than the left one.

Where did I lose my faith
In this ****** human race
Where did I lose my friends
My family
And all those who loved me?

Where did I lose my
Optimism
and when did I lose myself
To anxieties and the blues?

Is this real or a dream?

Where did I lose my courage to live?
Can someone find it for me?
I should stop over-thinking.
NATURAL PRAYER_ Membis Godwin

My Lord: my God,I say this prayer not for me,
But the One in my heart
who 've stood by me:
That my languishing sympathetic friend
Who walked with me in wilderness till end.
I pray not for Favour, fame nor wealth:
All would end soon with conquering death.
Health and friends to mary with: I don't pray
Rather, for what that would always stay
Here and here-after_ all in peace of mind.
I pray for that to in that weary-heart stand,
Watered daily by what the eyes sees,
What nose breath and what the soul feels.
May the slim Spirit grow strong and mature
And may my Friend fall in love with Nature.
If you think no one can change
then you believe this of yourself
and if you think this of yourself
then this is why.
Don't listen to the parts of you
that don't tell you the truth
should they benefit
if you believe the lie.
I understand that
I can't please all of you
all the time
So all I can ask you is this...
If your gonna hate me
Hate me for the truth
That I am
Not the lies
That I might be
If my existence bothers you
When he was four,
he tried to write a poem
and named it "Happy"
because he was happy.
He had a new toy
and new paints.

When he was nine,
he tried to write another
and named it "Confused"
because that's what he was.
He had questions about his body,
but couldn't find the answers.

When he was thirteen,
he wrote another
and named it "Scared"
because that's how he felt.
His body was changing
and he didn't like it.

When he was Fifteen,
he wrote a different poem
and named it "Knowledge"
because that's what he gained.
He knew what was wrong,
so he told them his new name.

When he was eighteen,
he wrote a new one
and named it "Ghost"
because that's what he was.
Nobody respected him,
his pronouns were never heard.

So when he turned twenty,
he wrote his final poem
and named it "Boy"
because that's what he always was.
He taped it to his door
and danced from his ceiling fan.

----
This poem is very special to me.
I hope someone out there understands what I meant to say.
----
A toast to vulnerability.
To tying ventricles and fingers
To the bravery of fear and being braver still to face it.
To romance, to ***, to sweat beads sticking hair to skin and tongues to lips.
May love be bolder in the arms of our lovers
than our blood brothers.
A shortcut's
got nothing but
heavy excuses.

Light on my feet for
a deadbeat and
a heart that's heavy with rage

I make contact and disengage.

The next page is always the reader
the one that you want to be leader,
the one that races ahead
of the page that you've read,

shortcuts to cut myself down.

In the pulse that is so seldom seen or
in the garden of Eden where I've never been
there's an Eve,
the girl that makes me believe.

A juxtaposition
Adam in that awesome condition and
she with an apple in her eye
no matter how hard we try
we're caught in the web.
I know that what I wish for us is wrong
Some words are life changing,
And once you say them
You can never take them back
So think before you say something hurtful
Or something that will not only change your life
But the lives of people you love
Sometimes
You're decisions don't only effect you
But all those around you
So think
