The Old Fool
 Sep 2014 Dylan
Firefly
The old fool whispers:
“The wind always lies”
His mouth frothing with spit,
Tongue attracting flies.
He pranced around,
As if in a play,
Arms growing towards the ground,
He groped his *****, mottled dress shirt,
Lifting it up to show,
His smirk suggesting a flirt.
In his cloudy gray mind,
He was in an oasis,
Looking on intricate desert, talking to the wind.
The wind,
Wild thief of old,
Wanted to steal the man’s heart of gold,
He wore many faces,
The dancer-prancer, the merchant, the *****.
He danced with the old man,
Tying his brain with laces,
The old man was twirling,
Humming a tune,
Laughing as into the water he went.

My days are filled with nothing
So please don't interfere
I haven't got the time
And I'd rather drink the beer

I would get a job
If I could get up out of bed
But it is warm and cozy
Good intentions fill my head

The day of resolutions
Has come and it has past
And surprise, my good intentions
Haven't really last

Put keep on rooting for me
I'll get back there into gear
For if you think about it
There is always next year

Doodles

Beaux
Doodles, doodles
Cover my page
Unicorns with wings
Trolls riding lizards
My pencil flies
Its swoops
It leaps
Doodles, doodles
Fill my notebook
Notes forgotten long ago
A kingdom was build
Filled with monsters and magic
Where strange creatures lurk
My pencil twirls
It loops and scoops
Doodles, doodles
Everywhere they are
They've covered every page
Covers front and back
Few venture to the desk
They slide to the side
Casting spells that make a test easier
They are soon relinquished
By teacher's glares and detention threats
My pencil dances with ease
It pirouettes, it twirls, it sticks the landing
Doodles, doodles
They're no longer doodles
But life, inventions, and lands beyond seas
They rumbles around and soar in the sky
They fill my sketchbooks
They fill my brain
They run and they play
They talk and they laugh
They're no longer doodles
But the beginning of an artist

I want to do something with the wind.
Make it into something my rib cage can sing.
I want to go where it goes
all at once all the trees bowing
not to me but to he who passes through me.

I created a joy stronger
than the sway of happy and sad.
I saw the moon part the trees,
then sit in their leaves,
then sink
              lost in their past.

The wind blew all night.
Still the mountain stands.

The wind blows yellow
the wind blows blue green
the wind blows night
back into day.

The wind is a thought
thought long ago
that caught on like wild fire
and still thinks it blows.

I say the wind but I mean something else.
I may mean your hair, how the grasses
draw inspiration from it for flowers.
All these things are arranged as the wind leaves them.
No matter the order we take them they lead us back around.

Think of a word
         then just a letter
                      then let the letter
          be just an outline
with more space
          inside it than out.
Then let the wind
         come and rearrange
                      the emptiness without
         with the emptiness within.
This is where we begin.

This pillow talk never woke me up.
I just sat there and pretended.
words and feelings and actions and thoughts
tend to congeal together with time
my creative spontaneous quick thinking
cost me clock ticking

my age grows larger and I begin to rot
I watch people function domino effect
followed by theories directly speaking
Freud and other teachings

completely speaking
open unrevealing
doors and locks
with rooms crisply burnt
or merely dreaming

White walled rooms
recently inhabiting
night engines, dream catchers
conversations via phone-
the private type in a bedroom
alone
White walled rooms
now emptied by bodies
with strong meaty arms and legs

Quickly gotta move out quickly
gotta respond to this
good morning darling text
next work five and  half hours
running on 80 mg of battery power
I’m always dragging my tail
when I wrote this I was about to leave a house I inhabited for two years with my mom, brother, and two cats.  I had a lot of freedom and I can't sum up my love for this place in a description 1) because it would be too long 2) it would take me too long to use a thesaurus to find the right amount of words said passage would need
3) i'm too lazy for that ****

There’s two things I hate equally
Being thought of as incapable
And how incapable I think I am.
