When Death comes knocking at the door
And as the curtain finally falls
My voice will be stilled
My heart, now ticking off like a clock
Will ever be silent
My foot falls shall no more be heard
All my songs will be stifled in the throat
All my crazy thoughts will be frozen
And I shall take leave of all
And the whole lot of petty things I hold dear

But what difference does it make?
The earth will continue to spin as before
The stars will illumine the night sky
Days will follow days in endless succession
Time, chanting the refrains of joy and sorrow,
On wings, shall fly to destinations unknown.

Will there be anyone to grieve my absence?
Will my sons ever miss their Mama?
Will my loved one still hold me close to his heart?

May be for a while
A short little while

But as years glide,
And my tomb lies over grown with weeds
And the engraving on my head stone
Fades out in morbid grime and moss,
When I merge with the dust as dust,
When I lie inert, a rattling heap of bones under the sod
When my spirit still hovers around in vain
With insatiable longing for all your love,

Then give me, my Lord! A ride in your chariot!
Remove from my spirit the languor of endless waiting!
Carry me to Thy *****!
Embalm me with Thy love,
That I shall no more crave for earthly love
And with you in bliss, ever united
Look down evermore content
As the wheels roll down to Eternity!
This is the blatant truth......!! Though painful, each one of us has to accept it and sublimate the pain with thoughts of eternity !
" Here we are Father, here we are.
Lifting up our hands our flesh, our souls, only
to praise your mighty goals.
We seek your Gracious Love, your teachings, and
respect.
So "Here We Are Father forever lifting up our
Hands, and Flesh.
To worship a King, only comes once in our life.
For you are the one. Thee Almighty Christ.
So Here We Are Father, lifting up our hands, and flesh,
to the King we adore, and the sacrifice you have left.
We've become better people because of you.
This is why we surrender. To be close to you.
Here We Are Father, Here We Are."
I sit satisfied
Smiling smugly
Ha!  I think.
Go ahead,
Just ask me anything you want to know
Go ahead.
I defy you!
Huh?
Whaddaya mean
Is it dark
Inside of
Snowballs?
Getting ready to move, I found this poem by my brother Danny Fitzpatrick, "Fitzy", who passed away in 2005.  It was great finding this since I'd been looking for years, asking his daughter Joey & son Tim to look also.  All I could recall was the title.
All I Need is this moment
I will not walk on by
Thirsty by a mountain stream
Without the tears to cry

Denial and delusion
Have not worked out so well
Existing in confusion
Creating my own hell

Love teaches me to really see
What is beneath the surface
Known by the heart but not the eye
Revealing my life’s purpose

In a flash Material World
Gives way, but what is this
A signpost points the way to
A sense of eternal bliss

I am glimpsing sweet moments
In the awakened state
The Holy Instant, satori
Where oneness replaces hate.
Spending time meditating every morning, quieting my monkey mind and listening to God sometimes...
.
     Lord, help my unbelief
     Lord, help me to see
The way You're holding me
     Lord, take away my pride
     Lord, please use my life
To be Your shining light.

     God, I'm trying to be
Just what you want of me
But it's Your grace I need
     God, I'm striving so hard
     To stop worrying, and start
Letting You be who You are.

Father, I want to come home
     Father, yes, I know
You'll never leave me on my own
     Father, help me understand
     That Your great plan
Has meaning, and will firmly stand.
Written in church this morning on the buletin.
Letting you go
Might be the suitable thing to do
We will always be friends, but babe it's time for me to move on.

It,s  a  dreadful  night  I  fear.
