I sit here, alone with my thoughts,
trying to write as the sound of that
infernal colck rises and falls..
And rises again.
That infuriating tick-tick-tick
TOCK!
I visualize a different muse
each time I write, but when
I search for a muse...
TOCK...tick-tick-TOCK!
Back at square one,
trying to remember an idea
I almost had before that clock
scared my muse into hiding again...

Her beautiful emerald eyes,
Shining like the Northern Lights,
Still enchant me today.

I recall her dazzling smile and
Serene voice with such vivid detail,
It's as if she's still here.

Her soft lips whispering something
Inaudible to my ears..

Then she changed forever!

Her eyes burnt scarlett
As a blaze erupted forth.

Her teeth and jaw elongated,
Mouth opened, stretching wide...

Her skin remained as flawless
As her Innocent voice.

She uses it as a lure for
Unsuspecting prey..like me.

And right then,
She swallowed me whole.

Your eyes flashed like lightning
As you approached.
Your fingers stiff, tight..
Needing to feel something in your hands.
You smell blood..the taste of your
Next victim awates..
I never had a chance...

A familiar face in the crowd...
She glances my way, then disappears.
A familiar voice in my ear...
I turn, but no one is near.
A familiar name comes to mind...
Just as I hear her say my own,
The haunted memories of my
Obsession struck back..
Will they never cease?

The noise is growing louder every moment.
The light is far too bright,
Yet, my mind is engulfed in darkness
As I wait for my head to explode...

His enthralling eyes pierced
her like a loosed arrow.
Paralyzed and frightened,
She still yearned for him.

For his touch.
For his smile.
For a whisper.
She did not know.

She was a pawn to him,
yet, even a pawn can become
a queen if played right.

He saw himself ******* her slowly,
all the time, staring into her eyes of sapphire.
The candles around the room were burning
brightly as he began to ravish her,
slowly at first, then picking up the pace.

Their entwining bodies caused so much heat,
the candles were extinguished in sorrow
and time fell away as the
darkness fell over them.

Hearts pounding as one,
both drenched in sweat, exhausted,
they fell into each others arms
and slept for an eternity.

They were lost in that moment
and that moment was lost in time.
That night is but half a moments glance
out the window of a speeding train as her
memories have multiplied over the ages.

She can still feel him inside her.
In her mind and body.
She can still feel his
breath on her neck.
She can still smell that awful
cologne he thought was so great.

She can still feel him
with every beat of her heart.

I used to think that loneliness was the cure for a heartbreak. Build a wall to keep yourself safe. No more heartache. So I built many walls and reinforced them with more walls. In time, my heart was encased in a labyrinth made of fear, doubt, guilt and an abundance of pain. I tried to protect my heart, but the walls came crashing down, splintering my already fragile heart. I surrounded it with all my negative energy and feelings. I neglected to shower it with love, so my heart is scattered through all time and realms longing to be free from all the pain I trapped it with. The only thing that makes it feel whole and strong again...is you!
