the scent of you would be my favorite perfume. I'd walk to your doorstep,
as early as two. Because I want to feel that indescribable feeling. I wan't to be with you.

and it's not *** or desire that I'm looking for. it's the warmth from your hair, the fire from the blanket we both share.

but for now, I can only absorb my dreams. Pretend it's my only reality. only. why can't it be? See the struggle that is approaching me?

and wonder why

incomplete poems
on your collar bones
that don't rhyme with anything
but your heavy breathing.

because you smell like the winter clouds

I'm the prettiest girl
he's ever met
so I let him
jump in

Carl made me
feel special
he said he'd never seen
anyone so pure
so in the back of his car
I let hm in

Rob said he'd rob
the world, go to jail
do anything I told him to do
so in the garden
I let him plant himself in

George wrote poetry;
he described my eyes
and my face and my walk
and he said he'd love me
forever, it was destiny brought
us together -
could he see more, please?
So I let him do everything
so he could make divine poetry

*Now I can't find any
of these guys
and they don't return my calls -
what happened
to their fine words and promises?

Among these endless windows
I catch a glimpse of your world
Playing the oldest of games
Your fingers you twirled

Mesmerized by your gentle fingers
As they dance to a muted tune
Your chatter breaks my silence
No longer am I immune

We can't stay apart any longer
That's my version of the truth
Glorious were our mistakes
